Chaos Day
So we all know GW 2 will come out and GW is slowly dying down, so how about at the very day before GW2 is released there is a Chaos Day or negative 360 day, a day where anything/ anything can occur. Free stuff from the traders, killing NPCs in the town, crystalline/ ghostly swords dropping very frequently, minis dropping everywhere, and at the end of the day gwen comes and kills us all, just liek in the beta event.
I know this is not "practical", but i have to say it would be fun for GW to go out in a bang, not that its ending, but scarcely anyone will be playing it. At the end of the day everything would be reverted back via a rollback, so it would be like nothing happened.
I just wanna have fun, i know a lotta uptight ppl will go and say blah blah im stupid blah blah noob and say that the idea stinks. But i just wanna know if anyone would like this to happen.
I KNOW GW WILL NOT END, IM MERELY SUGGESTING SOMETHING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WILL BE MOVING ON TO GW2, WHO DID NOT EXPERIENCE GETTING 1 MIL OF GOLD OR A STACK OF ECTOS, NOTHING WILL CHANGE WHATSOEVER.
I personally thought it would be fun to go around killing stupid NPCs who sold items for WAYY too high and to finished off by gwen would be awesome

I hope i'm not uptight. Anyways, there are some who will stay with Guild Wars; i highly doubt it'll be a dead game. This kind of event could never happen, simply because there ill be players, still, even after the release of GW2. A day when everything goes wild and wrong would basically screw up the entire economy into nothing, and leave the world of GW1 with less substance than a Half-digested Boot. It in itself is an interesting concept, but would basically sayign that GW is dead and no one cares abut it anymore. Anet would never agree to it, simply because if it did happen, the majority of the gamers playing GW would hate it, and it would stop any profits they would probably continue to make, even after the release of GW2.
Anyways, no matter how fun it may seem to be, it'd be the destruction of a beautiful game with plenty of life (and profit) still in it.

I think they should release bloopers of cinamatics and events in the game.

Only gonna happen if you really want to kill GW1 when GW2 comes out.
Signed for a return of psycho Gwen. Maybe Pyre decides to break up with her.

I'm still banking on them realising they can make even more money by keeping GW1 going, and adding new incentives in GW1 to buy new mini-expansions which also affect your GW2 game, like quests you can complete which will unlock related quests centuries later on your GW2 characters...

Nah the chaos thing would be too chaotic
I'd like something like at the end of the beta testa, or the wurm invasion....leetsauce.
Or maybe the ghost of a dead pirate slaying the FoW Crafter and stealing all his ectoes.

GW1 will not just "die" instantly when GW2 comes out, so this wouldn't work.

/notsigned for a million reasons.
One reason would be that people aren't going to stop playing Guild Wars. There's still a Hall of Monuments to be filled, unless you have forgotten that.

Yea
Just thought that I should point out that the OP clearly stated that everything would be rubberbanded. For those who don't know what rubberbanding is (all who have posted) it would reset everything to the way that it was BEFORE the event.

Sounds like anarchy to me. Reminds me of that old Star Trek episode, and excuse me, the one where Landru controls everyone but lets them go bug nuts for a short period every so often. Then everything goes back to normal and they are all like zombies again. Yeah, well it would be weird. BTW I for one plan to continue playing GW1.

Rubber banding is a colloquial term applied to the event in which you travel to a point, and then shortly jump to a point you were a few moments ago. This may or may not be a result of lag, depending on the situation. When running, it may also happen as a graphical glitch, when the runner is caught in a group of enemies (also referred to as being body-blocked), and will run forward without realizing they are still stuck among a mob of monsters, and this occurrence is unrelated to lagging or latency.
Rubber banding can make a character appear to pass zone markers without re-zoning.
And no to the Chaos thing! Need I explain why?

Although I would like a event on that date, but maybe not that extreme.

Err yea i know it wasn't rubberbanding, gosh what was that term, it happened at the wintersday event? Rollback was it? lol idk... anyways yea sure its probably never going to happen but w/e, still fun to think about it. Besides i never said GW1 WILL die, i said it will die down, meaning that it will have a LOT less people, unless of course GW2 sucks so much people go back to GW1. Either way nothing permanent will happen from my proposed idea, its just something fun to happen from a while of nothing happening, that might give GW1 a big bang as it loses people to GW2.

I think it'd piss a lot of people off if they can't play GW1 normally the day before GW2 was released, simply because at the end of this "event" everything will be rolled back. A lot of people will still be working on their HoM, or just trying to play their characters. I think it'd be the worst idea ever to piss off a large number of your customers the day before a new release.
If it weren't reverted, it would ruin the entire game for anyone who still wants to play GW1, and there will be quite a few. I will be coming back occasionally to work on more titles so that I can have more then one character with whatever I get from the HoM (not sure if I will ever want more than one character, but it's possible). Some people want to wait to see what they get from the HoM to see if it's worth it for them to come back and work on it. I think anyone who is a fan of GW2, and likes the look of what you receive from the HoM may go out and buy GW1 to work on getting those things. And finally, some people will just not wanna move over to GW2, because of the changes it will introduce.
So, to summarise, no.

x 10000000000000000000000000000000000
2 reasons
1. GW will be kept up to play until no one is playing, so it would ruin EVERYTHING, because rubberbanding sucks.
2. I have one last day to finish that one mission and get my "God Walking Among Mere Mortals" but someone killed the NPC!?!?!?!?!
