I can not tell you the one biggest issue I have with this game, and it is SKILL BALANCE. I do not PvP that much, but do understand why PvP needs it. I don't think it should effect PvE. I hope GW2 will address this issue, until then I propose allowing 4 PvE only skills per bar to counter PvP balance issues with skills.

I don't want to hear, "Why PvE is easy" or "use ursans blessing" crap. Some can say that PvP is easy also, so why balance?

It's not about whether it's easy or not. It's about having fun doing what you enjoy most in the game, and yes some have it easy, some don't. But nothing pisses me off more is when I have a balanced build, but am forced to change it based on GvG or HA play have caused some of the skills I used that were balanced for PvE, yet were unbalanced for PvP.

Anet devs, think about everyone for a change, and not just one group.

We started with 4 in the beginning it should be back to 4

What if I have fun without any PvE-only skills? Can I promote for the complete extinction of those skills?

Pre-determined situations are easy. PvP is always random.

Also, what kind of bar would look good with more than 3 PvE skills?

I guess the main reason for balance is that there are so many skills that it's impossible to see all the combinations that can be done.

Once ppls find a good combo that overpowers the other clases, the skills become unbalanced. Since everyone will start doing the same thing. (That's why usually after a tournament, some of the skills are nerfed).

Well, at least that's my OPINION....

I understand where are u coming from, but what I cant get is why do u want 8 PvE Only skills in a bar???

Why dont we get rid of professions in PvE while we're at it. Who needs to be a Ranger when they can just take PvE skills?

I don't see how 8 PvE only skills could have any application, maybe 4 or 5 would be nice however, or at least have it so Signet of Capture and Sunspear Rebirth Signet are not included in the count, that's the only thing that bugs me.

8 PvE skills would have no synergy at all and therefore completely suck..... The maximum amount of PvE skills you could bring without sucking is probably 3 or 4 including an ss res sig.

/notsigned. This would be just another way to remove whatever challenges are left in PvE. PvE only skills should be used to compliment normal skills, not replace them completely. And with the wide variety of PvE only skills, there are plenty of ways to build a highly effective skill bar with using just one PvE only skill.

I guess people really DO have huge problems dealing with change.

Even when the changes are overwhelmingly positive for PvE players such as myself.

I guess modifying builds is really, really, hard.

Even when the changes needed are very, very, small.

Sometimes I think I have a much too negative view of humanity. Other times I think it's much too positive.

The pvp gamers have huge influence on the game the pve players far less and there is a good and sensible reason for this.

In pve an inbalance of skills is pretty hard for the controlers to pick up on, except by players bragging about it.
No one really cares if a combo of skills allows someone to solo entire missions against ai opposition, they might do it for months even years.

However pvp is entirely different its far more closely monitored and the people being devastated by the skills complain a lot.
There would be a danger of tournaments being scrubbed when everyone turned up with the same skill sets.

There are a couple of ways it might be handled one would be to nerf the pvp environment to rebalance the skills so they behave differently in pvp while remaining as is in pve.
The other way is what they do now, which though occasionally annoying is simpler.

the point of PvE-Only skills is not to unbalance PvP. Most of the PvE skills are more powerful and it would be much more tankage if you could have more

Of course people use counters, but just because counters exist does not mean that a skill/build is balanced. When certain builds are used by the majority of GvG teams it shows that some skills are unbalanced and need to be changed. If you can't accept that then you are playing the wrong game, it has been happening since the start of GW and is part of this game.
