Note that those few thousand Gw players are in comparison to the 10 million WoW players, not number of characters per area.
I don't know if you're aware, but most Gw instances only hold 8 people at a time.
Much less than WoW.

That's because 98% of WoW is persistent, offering an infinite number of players in any area at any given time.
What the poster you quoted meant, was something along the lines of, since WoW is all relegated to different servers, and not just one massive one, and they cannot interact with players on other servers, Guild Wars technically has more people interacting with each other. He wasn't saying Guild Wars has more active players than WoW. I would venture a guess GW doesn't have more than 500,000 active players.

Kanyatta got my point.
Besides, genre is a formality. the reality is that rules that apply to MMOs apply to GW.

I'd like that, and whatnot a french version of Canadian servers for Quebecers.
But as we know, it just wont happen.

Hmm you would be surprised of the amount of dutchspeaking people running around on gw.

Anyway more people would use the dutch district then people use the korean districts.
And I finally would be able to figure out that the rest of the pug ALL speaks dutch BEFORE we finish the mission.(happens alot >.<)

Doesn't that show, though, that they aren't neccessary? If you could go through an entire mission not knowing that everyone in your party was Dutch, then why do you need a seperate district specifically to meet those people when you are able to function just fine without it?

Well I prefer to speak Dutch above english but most of the time you can't see who does and who doesn't speak Dutch.
I suppose a team of Germans can function just as fine speaking English as speaking German etc etc

Doubt this 'one big happy family' idea is going to apply untill they actually have removed the alternative districts, which would keep a lot of players pretty p*ssed off I guess. On the other hand, there's a lot of actually 'useless' districts around at the moment, for nationalities that are really the minority. I'm not saying we should remove those at all but even though they are empty, the people from those countries atleast have a choise. I think dutch players should too.
Anyway, you should've hit the search button.
(PS. post some screenies of chat with the 'empty districts' in usually flooded towns, and a few in english district asking how many people there are dutch. That'd give a better look on the situation.)

To much true....
There are two districts that are really bin used in Europe.
Thats the Englis dis. , and the German district.
All the rest, Russian, Italian, Spanish etc.. should be closed.
We havn't got a : Alabama - Alaska - Arizona - Arkansas - Californië - Colorado - Connecticut - Delaware - Florida - Georgia - Hawaï - Idaho - Illinois - Indiana - Iowa - Kansas - Kentucky - Louisiana - Maine - Maryland - Massachusetts - Michigan - Minnesota - Mississippi - Missouri - Montana - Nebraska - Nevada - New Hampshire - New Jersey - New Mexico - New York - North Carolina - North Dakota - Ohio - Oklahoma - Oregon - Pennsylvania - Rhode Island - South Carolina - South Dakota - Tennessee - Texas - Utah - Vermont - Virginia - Washington - West Virginia - Wisconsin - Wyoming.

If no dutch district at least a dutch language option, id be really intrested in learning more dutch and constantly asking guilds to explain grammer etc gets a bit on their nerves

Really not a bad idea for the empty towns.
