Default A use for minipets

It would be nice if they introduced a use for minipets. Nothing big, but a small, inherent effect for displaying one. (pve only of course)

Examples:

+1 to Domination spells (10%) for mini Wind Rider

+3 armor vs piercing for mini Siege Turtle

+2% run speed for mini Prince Rurik

This would make collecting/having one more interesting for many players, and the effects would be so small it wouldn't change gameplay much if any.

Thoughts?

Minis are useless and it should stay as it is
Actually, they have a use, it's called e-peening and it's enough already

meh... /not signed

Minipets are supposed to be mainly cosmetic, but I do think something should be changed about the way they work. For example, make a mini-pet slot for equipment so it doesnt take up valuable storage space. Maybe even customization for minipets... idk....

The only reason I collect is for the HoM, otherwise i wouldnt even bother.

Definitely disagree with the attribute and armor idea, and the +% run speed doesnt make sense to me.

Might promote minipet trade and make things more interesting.

To me, it depends. I'd say, if you were going to do something like this, either give each minipet the same chance to have the same buff granted some way like the inscription/upgrade system, or give buffs staggered by the minipet's rarity. In that case, greens should have a unique bonus.

If you were to give some minipets extreme or super-unique bonuses, that might shift their price drastically, and I wouldn't find that fun.

Already useful for some party wide effects (such as paragon energy gain off of chants/shouts, the mini is included in the count) also prevents full effect from "You're All Alone".

I'd rather they pick up drops and gold.

Anyway, I like the concept, but I don't think Guild Wars is really the game that such an idea would be welcome in.

People who buy the 15k armour don't have an advantage over those who have the 1k armour. Giving an advantage to pets not readily available to everyone, no matter how small, is an advantage that shouldn't be in Guild Wars.

Darkobra hit the nail on the head. Items giving you pratical benefits don't mesh well with GW's orignal ideology (though it does fit the title grind trend).

Epeen is the greatest use for those minipets. Why else do people whine about titles and /rank being discriminatory? Because they care about epeen.
