meh may as well throw it...a large scale Free for All PvP battle. 8-24 contenders...
And a Gladiator mode, winner stays, loser goes to the back of the line...winner has to try and hold their own over and over again....

The problem with FFA is that some classes (eg. Warriors) would be really good while others (eg. Paragon) would be next to useless.

/Unsign with major Nerfs only(period).
Most Classes can stand but except for Wars, and Wars^^.
No Offense to War Lovers.
But the War's job is to Tank, but there is nothing to Tank if no one to nuke.
Builds which would win:
Invinci/Smite Monk
Invinci Derv
Air/Water Ele
Channel Rit
Tele Sins
Shutdown Mes
Degen Mes/Necro
Wars need to go near to enemies to kill them, Wars can take down Sins or Normal Dervs but before getting near to a caster dead'o.
While Sins can Teleport to Caster without them noticing.
Dervs and Monks can stand the longest in battle.
Spike Rits, Eles, Rangers and Paras can take down enemies no time.
Mes and Necros can de-buff the heck out of enemies.

There should be monsters effecting this. Those who wish to try 55ing may find themselves stripped completely of their enchantments by unlucky monsters.
All skills should be buffed, and attributes max out at 50. Oh yeah, chaos....
"I'm controlling 1,337 minions!"
"My Health is 927,432 out of 1,002,358!"
"I'm maintaining Mending on myself!"
Yeah. Ownage.

This would work with premade, balanced skill bars. Unchangable by the player, set up by the dev team.
It might also work if players had unlimited access to class skills, unlimited or very high skill bar, even PvE only skills. Would be interesting to see. I'd bet my paragon against any warrior in that case.

Orly. Here I was thinking the class with the highest DPS in the game was meant to do damage.

Wars were mostly meant for tank thats why they have high armor^^.
Don't get me started with the skills they may be based all on damage but a Sin can kill faster and more efficient than wars.
And is the SH Ele a Spiker?

Can you imagine what Sins can do here?, if you allow them even 1 minute they wiil recharge and be ready to go again. Probably the only other Proff. capable of stopping sins before they strike is a warrior, and maybe dervish...
If a balanced way to do this was found then MAYBE...but i doubt it

Fury has 8 vs. 8 free for all. Gotta say, its quite fun.
In GW it could work - key for it to work in fury is that you get extra bonuses for killing leading character - is sins would rule, they would get ganked fast and hard, and there would be no reason to kill "tankers" since they temselves are not worth it.
Also, fury has powerups, which mean that smart gameplay (i.e claiming them at right moment, denying them to oponents ...) can keep you alive and kicking even if you cant have self heal on your bar.
I am not saying its worth it adding to gw, but it can be done in similar type of game and it can work.

Ok... 1. Warriors would be terrible. They are highly susceptible to hexes, snares, blinds. Without being kept clean they are little more than walking targets. Paragons don't have to be in melee range to hit, and they hit hard. Plus they have decent heal skills, but again, they need to be clean. 55 Monks/dervs, anyone with vamp gaze is going to one shot them. Anyone with good degen is going to one shot them. Spirit spam rits are going to be overloaded. Eles are going to run into those shutdown mesmers you said were going to win. If you have 24 random people, chances are you are going to be outbuilt by someone.
The only use for this idea is pure fun.
