Change KoaBD Title Description
Now that GW:EN is out and we have a Hall of Monuments I think it would be a good idea if ANet changed the description for the "My Guild Hall Smells of Rich Mahogany" tier.
The change would be small, just taking out the word "Guild" from the title so it reads "My Hall Smells of Rich Mahogany".
Thoughts? signed?
If this has been discussed before I appolagize.

It makes sense.
Not all characters have Guild Hall or Hall of Monuments, but all characters can have both.
Ans since the title is about getting other titles, it has more sense to relate it to the Hall of Monuments.
Is not an issue, thought, but the change is so small and can be so easily done that it becomes an plausible.

I don't think it is a very big deal. The name of the game is GUILD wars and it would be very difficult (and expensive) to get this title without GWEN anyhow. This is just one name and the rest of the titles in this track have nothing to do with a guild or a hall......

not intending any offence, but did u mean not all have guild hall "and" hall of monuments? or was it intended, just to me it doesnt sound right gramatically.
Anyway back to topic, i think it wouldnt hurt to change it, at the end of the day i dont think it affects people too much though :P
/signed anyway

I agree that it wouldn't make a huge difference, but the little things do count. And the title description has never made much sense to me, unless you happen to be the leader of your guild.

Heh, cute. I don't think it's worth messing with people's titles though.

It is written like that to reflect the quote from the film Anchorman where the dialogue reads;
# Ron Burgundy: I don't know how to put this but ~I'm kind of a big deal.~
# Veronica Corningstone: Really.
# Ron Burgundy: ~People know me.~
# Veronica Corningstone: Well, I'm very happy for you.
# Ron Burgundy: I'm very important. ~I have many leather-bound books! and ~my apartment smells of rich mahogany~
Quotation taken from Guild Wars Wiki!:-
An apartment is a place where you reside, and so Guild Hall is used as opposed to Hall, which doesn't have the same homely implications.
so /not signed as it ruins the hommage.

Ah, that's different for every guild.
In mine, we don't 'reside' in the hall, we go to the hall to gather, but each one lives on its own.
It's not changing "Guild Hall" for "Hall of Monuments", it's changing it for "Hall" which is valid for both.
That way both that consider the Hall as their home and those that consider the Guild Hall are satisfied.
The rest... well... the rest all live in Fishermen's Haven, XDDD.

The term "hall" sounds kind of general though. It makes me think of "a typical hall in my house"... just a plain hall. How boring is that?

Urg the tittle KOBD: References to lines Will Ferrell says in the movie "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy".
So you can't change it too much
Anyway it makes sense for the OP idea
