I know this won't be a popular post, but with the introduction of heroes, the material storage tab and the festival hat maker, I have a really hard time understanding why players have such a storage crunch.
Is it the accumulation of junk that they never (or hardly ever) use? Is it the accumulation of useless (and usually expensive) items that they keep for wealth storage or posterity's sake?
I know I actively try to keep my storage clear, and strategically use my seldom-played heroes (which, on my five actively-played characters, totals about 100 heroes) as another place to store weapons and offhands - that's 200 extra storage slots.
I guess I'm a firm believer that one's junk expands to the space that's allowed...that's how it is in real life, and probably moreso in the virtual world.

Then, just like we have for materials, I'd want one big panel for all the collectible drops. Might take two. Only then would the frakking storage monstrosity that is Guild Wars be fixed imho.
I agree though with the concept of the thread - MORE storage - and have complained about it countless times. I play only one character now (or did anyway) due both to titles and the mess of items and storage problems. Eight of my other former playable characters are now just mules and storage is full of crap. It got so annoying to try and move things around I simply stopped playing the other characters. Anet truly sucks at storage.

aye same issues.
I suggested a system that would enable players to access the inventories of same account, off-line toons via storage ages ago.
but nooo people need to shoot it down and think about it for a year or so before coming to same conclusion.
meh.

Well, most of storage problems are caused by what you are storing: crap. Many people describe stuff that clutters their storage so and they are right
Get rid of crap: have de-craping session and make yourself do some tougher decisions.
Hell, do giveaway, if you have stuff that you will never realistically use, its better to give it away instead of having it waste inventory slots better used for stuff that actually has value.

Actually the introduction of heroes was when the problem started for me. They're not being global or having their own storage space I had to start keeping all kinds of crap to outfit them, change their builds and EQ, etc.
Combine that with the fact that my monk has more armor than she herself alone can carry, more weapons for various weapon sets than fit in a tab and four campaigns worth of collectors' drops to sort through, my storage space when I only play my monk is more or less full. Trying then to play a different character, say my warrior, and place all her armor sets somewhere so she can pick things up, place her weapon sets somewhere, figure out where to put her hero things and find what else she might need for them from somewhere else, and then the few things that character acts as a mule for just became too much hassle that I retired all of them. Frustrates me to no end to even try to summarize the problems.
Most of my characters have multiple armor and weapon sets, extra head pieces and some hero equipment. Each. There is nothing left to get rid of. trust me. I trashed a lot of it in a fit one day lol. Granted, an armor storage NPC would solve a lot of it, but a hero maintenance area is also needed. Gods forbid you want to save collectible drops across four campaigns, minipets and whole host of other things.

I agree with the idea.
Next time though, fill every slot with 250 ectos/arms. That would draw loads more replies lulz.

No, but I'd like to buy extra storage slots from the Xunlai agent for IG gold. (and not that simbolic 50g. I would pay like 100k for a storage slot like in the pic).

Personally I would much rather some type of character specific armor storage type of thing than this. Maybe have the character specific general storage (only items that can go in that are customized to that character). This way I could much more easily store my different armor/weapon sets for different builds.
My monk for example has its standard set of armor, 55 armor, and 600 armor with weapons for each of those builds.

improved trading >> bigger storage,
but still,
one big storage chest >>>>> 10 separate mule characters
/signed, the storage is very small and needs improvements
even a way to open other character's (mules') inventories through Xunlai chest would be a great improvement and it wouldn't physically increase storage space by even 1 slot!
even if it's a "Ultimate Storage Pack" sold in the online store, I'd buy that instead of more char slots for mules.
storage now is both small and hard to use, having multiple armor sets for multiple characters and having to store them on separate mule characters and having to relog multiple times just to switch an armor is ridiculous.
