Title says it all....

Ranger nowadays play everything EXCEPT a ranger, we have R/N touchers, R/A running dagger skills, R/W with hammers....limiting Expertise to only effect Ranger skills will fix all this crap.

versatility? it players every class except its own....it is rediculous the Ranger itself has plenty of great builds it can run as a RANGER, but people won't because the ranger gives you the ability to make all attack skills and touch skills over every other class take almost no energy.

Rangers DO run out of energy and they dont make better classes of their secondaries

R/A do not have critical strikes to regain energy. They also do not have the same number of energy regen as an Assassin primary.

R/N can only use touch attacks, and i think its pretty obvious that the vamp touchers are a non-issue when it comes to anything outside of RA

R/W? RaO has been nerfed already. The Thumper is pressure thats easy to stop with basic warrior hate.

R/D? Not enough scythe attacks.

The Ranger is about one thing: versatility. It is the quintessential Jack of All Trades.

And to say Rangers aren't playing their profession-skills isn't entirely correct. They have a large prevalence in PvP, yes, but that's only because the listed builds have a niche that they currently fill quite well.

There is still the Barrager, Broad Head Arrow, and CripShot (and to a lesser degree, Choking Gas). Granted you see these more on PvE (at least the Barrager for sure.)

If I had to think of the profession that has the most "niches" (not builds, but actual roles) I would say it would be the Ranger, which it should be.

How is expertise overpowered? Just because rangers can use other weapons effectively doesn't mean they are overpowered.

A ranger may be able to use more energy based warrior skills, but a warrior is going to do noticeably more damage with an axe, sword or hammer than a ranger, due to lack of runes. Same goes for rangers that are secondary assassins, dervishes, or paragons.

If the builds using expertise were overpowered, you might have a point. As thing stand, they aren't, so rangers are fine, 'nuff said.

The ranger is meant to play this way. Read the desciption of Expertise and it's obvious. Nothing here is broken. Move along, people. nothing to see here!

Sure Rangers can run builds based on there secondarys however they will never be as effective as a primary class using the same kinda build. Expertise is in no way broken. Just because Soul reaping got a change in recent times people suddenly start thinking that every primary needs to be changed also. Expertise doesnt work on Spells or non attack skills (except rituals) which is why its not overpowered.

/notsigned Rangers are supposed to be versatile, and obviously the OP never used a Ranger because if he/she did, they would realize that Expertise is not that great, I run out of energy quite often with my Ranger unless I use Marksmans Wager. Sometimes I think Guild Wars is going to end up being a game where spitballs and boxing gloves will be our only viable weapons left after you nerf happy freaks get your own way.

No need to.

All primary attributes have uses for a least one other class.
Warrior: All martial weapon users.
Ranger: All.
Monk: All with spells that target allies.
Mesmer: All spell and signet users.
Necromancer: All, like elementalist.
Elementalist: All, of course.
Assassin: All martial weapon users.
Ritualist: Necromancer, ranger (and assassins with their celestial skill)
Paragon: For... warriors and ranger...? Eh... XD. Least usefull for others, XD.
Dervichs: All with self-casted enchantment spells.

So... you pretend all primary attributes working only for their own classes?

overpowered != versatility

expertise allows rangers to use some warrior skills therefore expertise is overpowered and needs a nerf

energy storage allows eles to spam high cost monk spells therefore energy storage is overpowered needs a nerf

btw, all the people that think that R/N touch is overpowered need to L2P, or QQ more.
