Better Dye Preview!!
Hello everyone, I'm not sure how many of you will relate to this but it bugs the crap out of me and my friends too.
You know that lovely dye preview that Anet added? yes I love it too even if it made dye mixing dead and you can only use 4 dyes now, it still is a very neat and wanted tool. Well the only problem with it (that I didn't already state) is that it only lets you preview 1 peice of armor at a time.
My suggestion is a complete window that shows your entire character with 20 dye slots (4 for each peaice of armor) and that way you know what all the armor will look like completely dyed, and if your dying each peice a different color you can see if they clash or mix!
I think this would be a great addition to an already good tool. Not to mention it would save you (and definently me by experience) many black dyes as #1 it is a very favored dye, and #2 I use it and I know some other people use it to accent the details on armor while using other dyes, and then when your finished, it looked good on one peice, but altogether it doesn't.
All feedback and additions to my idea are accepted!

It would be a nice addition, but you can just see how it looks by looking at every armorpart seperatly.. no need to waste.
Still i'd like to see a full armor preview

But it still, looking at each peice seperatly is kind of annoying, not looking at them together kind of gives you a false image, at least for me.

It's a pretty neat idea, however, I highly doubt it will be implemented.
Just do it the old fashioned way. Preview the dye, printscreen, and photoshop them all together. Bam, there ya go.

The window could have a checkbox: Show all pieces dyed with the same color.
IT won't allow you to see ach piece with the color you want, but It would still help a lot.

Not bad but 4 x 5 = 20 dyes -,-"
Beside it's not a big part of the game. Why bother?

Additionally, it seems not all armor pieces dye the same way with the same color. To me at least, certain colors look duller on arms and feet than on chest and legs.

i would rather see an option to change the lighting on your character...you dye it one color, then the games "regular light" changes it in 75% of the areas, and the remainder is all area specific lighting (like red/blue/etc.)

i agree with this that you shuold be able to preview a full armor set ..
also the fact that the preview window gets dyed distorts the item you are previewing - the window shold be like a static real sitation backround .... ie a shot of kamadan ..or something...

This would really help to see how your character would look. And the preview window does distort the thing that gets previewed. I still reminder dyeing my ele's armor purple because I thought it would be a darker purple (it didn't come out too nice).

Personally, I dislike that the background takes on a different tint as well! It really changes the whole impression!

Needs to be a better preview ability so we can see the whole armor died at once with all the pieces we want, all dyed how we want. It's really hard to gauge how one piece of armor looks dyed with the rest when all we can see it against is the armor we currently wear.
