Much titles should be account based. Every maxed title should be maxed for every char.
Yeah, all players dont want to stick to one char, including me, making the title system so unfait ive already gave up since the beginning. I like to understand game mechanics, truely understand how each class works, and, as a result, wont get any maxed title (maybe a LB or Sunspear...).
We are human players, using an account, why players that use only one char should get rewards, and not us, the vaste majority ?
Some said that it would be unfair for those that have a nice amount of chest opened yet. Not at all.

I'm not for the chest-opening, but I'm absolutely for the Wisdom title.
It doen't really matterwho identify the item.
Either they make it so the title increases when you PICK the item, or make it account wide.

How are the originally mentioned titles hard to obtain. They cost money, that is it. In theory, I could buy GW gold, and earn the wisdom title without ever leaving an outpost. Not how I am going to do it, but in theory it would work. There are probably players out there that have done that.
All titles, except possibly survivor or LDOA, should be account based. Maybe have some type of flag that doesn't give the benefit (if any) of rep based titles until completing the campaign or something but there is no reason to restrict these to character based. If I can do it on one character I can do it on any, that doesn't mean that I should need to go back out and grind again.

My biggest complaint with the current state of the game, it is pushing towards sole character play in PvE.

how immensely ironic is it to see a thread from somebody, who is usually against every slightest thing, that makes the game anyhow slightly "easier" and more multi character friendly again, as GW was, before titles got implemented to the game.

signed naturally for those both titles to become finally account based, when not every ALL titles, with certain requirements to show them with all characters, like
- reach level 20
- play through the campaigns fitting to the titles like cartographer, guardian, vanguisher, skill hunter
* means, make alll those titles with your title hunter chara, then reach with a non main char level 20 and play through the campaign, for example now Tyria and the Non title hunter chara, will be able to show all the maxed titles of the title hunter character of tyria...
you hunted with the title hunter chara legendary vanguisher ...with your non title hutner character you#ve to play through firts all 3 campaigns to be able to show the title also with it.
combine this then alos with soem little increases of requirements maybe to balance everything and all should be fine, but Guild Wars would become finally agaiun multi character friendly, like it was, before Factions ... and to this state must GW come back ASAP

Well wisdom can be bought but treasure hunter atleast take some time.
and if it would became account based,
i hope it wouldnt give bonuses for all chars just for 1 char ppl can choose which one..

They really should've been made account based in the first place... all you do is move all unids onto 1 character atm whenver you find them and you basically have to use 1 character whenever possible if there will be chests around.

I'll disagree with that, those 2 and all other legendary titles *protector, guardian, vanquisher, skill hunter, cartographer, master of the north* should not be account, the reputation can become account based, but would need a slight increase in rank req, probably changing it so it matches with the kurzick/luxon titles, but then that would also mean changing the points gained from bounties and the quests in istani for the sunspear title *the primary quests that need you to reach a certain rank in the title or reach a lvl in order to continue*.
/signed for making these 2 titles account based, don't care if the requirements are increased, as long as it is not too much. Also /signed for adding Drunkard, Sweet Tooth, and Party Animal to that and at least doubling the point requirements for those 3.
