This class has had it way too easy being overpowered in both PVE and PVP. I can already see some of you in disbelief already but hear me out.

What class is required two or more times in 90% of (8 man) builds?
(of course not the few gimmick builds like sway/iway/nspike)

What class has always been able to solo farm ever since prophecies with the infamous 55 build with maximum efficiency getting ectoes, the most coveted commodity?

What class is exempt from paying the 7000 gold "conset" per farming run that every other character has to pay?

That's right, monks.

It sucks that arena net bought into the idea of a healer class. I think that the small amount of people that enjoy watching health bars go up and down so much like wack a mole is only being offset by their overpoweredness in the game.

I had hoped after coming from World of Warcraft to Guild Wars beta, that this game would be different. Different from having guilds wait for hours to get enough priests for a raid. Its probably too late for Guild Wars I, but I really hope they address this issue in Guild Wars II.

If i had to bring a self heal on a char other than a monk ;

i would quit guildwars ..

So Stfu and go learn to play monk instead wammo

Not true. Did most of Factions with only one monk and my resto rit.

I'm loving all the insults i'm getting already.

First off you are only proving my point how no one likes to heal and you want someone else (monk) to do it all for you.

Second, there was a point in time where top gvg builds had warriors running heal signet, such as war machine and the last pride, so are you going to tell them to play a wamo too?

I know many people that will play anything, but refuse to monk. However, I have not met a monk that refuses to play something else. Isn't this telling you something?

I have a feeling that the hecklers here don't want their farmers nerfed :P

I don't farm. And people run farming builds with other professions. Bots use monks, but most people find it mindless enough that they farm with other profs. Ever check the farming section in Campfire?

Good or bad, it's far too late to overhaul the game so radically. Speculation suggests that GW2 might be less healer-centric with a lack of AI support in explorables and a desire to make classes "more self-sufficient", but who knows.

I'm glad to hear that. I knew it was probably too late to do anything about it in guild wars 1, but I just wanted to know what people here thought.
