can we have more real live events for guild wars 2?
I'm kinda wondering why Anet has given up with real live events for guild wars the last event was cool even though i wasn't admitted(under 18) i saw alot of videos and it got alot of people to start playing guild wars.
so im wondering if its ok for me to suggest a few events NCsoft can host for there titles.
guildcon:The sights, sounds, impressions, and overall experiences resonating throughout the halls of the Convention Center combined to create an event of tremendous excitement, camaraderie, and fun for the guildcon attendees, including all of us at ArenaNet and NCsoft. Between the entertaining and informative developer panels, the chance to play upcoming expansions and the newly announced expansions, the fast-paced tournament gaming, the imaginative live contest entrants, and the closing-night performances, guildcon can prove to be an all-around good time for any NCsoft-gaming enthusiast.
annual arena tournaments:combatants around the world to enter the new guild wars 2 Arena Tournament. Your glorious victories in the tournament will not only grant recognition and renown for your prowess, but they'll earn your team a chance to win cash prizes as well.
guild wars 2 comic contest: where artist go show off their work in monthly contest for fame and glory.
world wide NCsoft invitational:
The Worldwide Invitational is a two-day event bringing together the company and gamers in a convention atmosphere, featuring:
* A chance to try upcoming guild wars II expansions and products.
* Discussion panels with ArenaNet and NCsoft developers
* Artist and developer signings
* Competitive and casual player tournaments
* Costume, dance and other player contests with great prizes
* Live musical performances
* Merchandise; a silent auction; and much more...
im really hoping guild wars 2 will have all these live events and probably more and i hope that they let minors in.
well if you can think of your own event please share.

OT for a bit but E3 is invitational only for journalists, game company execs and the odd celebrity... I never realized you were in that category but were only denied access due to underage .
Back on topic, sounds interesting however anet could only do it if people showed real interest in showing up for said events. If no one goes its not much of an event is it. I'd have to see a real well thought out plan for something like this before I could decide whether or not it'd be a good idea. However I do agree if such an event was well designed it could be really interesting to see.

Blizzard is not just World of Warcraft. Starcraft players were actually the majority at Blizzcon last year, IIRC.
I wouldn't be surprised if GW1 now has even less active players now than LOTR:O.
Your delusions of grandur are amusing.

Blizzcon has WoW (which has an active player base about 7x or more than that of GW) and it has Starcraft, the upcoming Starcraft 2, and Diablo 2, and the inevitable Diablo 3, and a great amount of people still play WarCraft 3.
ArenaNet has Guild Wars and... Lineage 2? City of Heroes/Villians? Auto Assault?
Guild Wars 2, if they still follow the ladder-GvG format, they should have more GWWC, but to have like, a convention, would be kind of ludicrous.

I always thought it would be cool to have a convention where you could actually meet your guild members, etc.. but its just too implausible imo.

I cannot teleport. Making things only for those that live near or can pay a plane there will always be a mistake. The more the merrier.

not even that. Arenanet has . . . Guild Wars
Those other games named are controlled by NCSoft.

Last I heard, the new E3 sucks. TGS sounds more fun from a fan's perspective. We need something like that over here for US gamers.
