New elite weapon skin- Bloodstone
Since there is no more elite skins in GW (except Eternal) I thought it would be fair if aNet introduced a new, animated weapon skins for more demanding players and then I thought of Bloodstone- beautiful, looking like dark red candy paint covered material, animated with floating, mesmerizing waves of blood...
They could make its aquisition similiar to Tormented weapons (but protect it better against duping).
I just got no idea where could it be aquired... maybe it'd require a new elite area-something like Dwayna's or Melandru's domain simliar to UW or FoW (with a new area effect- touch skills take additional 30 seconds to recharge-let's say no to UB)...
I know many if you may be sick of the ammount of skins in GW, but elite skins are always the reason people like to play the game for longer...
PS. for those unfamiliar with the Bloodsone... I will post a screenshot later...
U can get a slight idea of how it looks like here:

it's the red spikes that grow from the ground

1: it should be easy to do since they already have the skin just need to put it on weapons.
2: they would look pretty cool. Esp if they made them big. I love my new deldrimor axe but one that big and skinned like this would make me as happy as a pitbull in a preschool

Those things around the bloodstone are Soul Batteries, which is made out of Jade, just as the Jade Armors/Bows and the Mursaat weapons. So, basically, this idea was already put in, just not how you expected.
Also, about you saying that Eternal weapons are the only 'elite weapon skins' that is incorrect, as all 4 games now have elite weapon skins. In other words there are 5 elite weapon skins *Deldrimor, Tormented, Destroyer, and the Greens from End-game factions that you can get gold versions of in Urgoz/Deep* But, I would always love to see more elite weapon skins, just don't see it really happening as all elite areas basically have their own 'special' weapons.

ofc there has been new weapons introduced, but they are not different from the regular weapons that has been in the game for ages... all of them have common, static appearance. And even though they might be award winning designs they don't really catch the eye.... It's the animated weapons that have always been drawing people's attention. The glow, animation, lightning effects and the gloss combined with high rarity plus the the fact they can be combined for a set (focus/shield+offhand of the same style) are the perfect recipe for encouraging ppl to play the game more.

Eh...the actual "bloodstones" in game are supposed to be pretty powerful magic. It wouldn't make sense for a ton of players to be carrying around weapons made from that stuff.
Just read the wiki page you cited for you picture. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bloodstone

What? I think some of the new weapons look very good, several of the Deldrimor items look much better than some of the animated weapons in the game. I think what you're really after is just another option for pve'ers to work on their epeen seeing as tormented weapons have become common.
