New Skill Idea - Scorpion Heal
I was in a pug today, helping some people out in Gates of Madness, and the warrior just would insist on over extending into the mobs, or running away from the monks.
Then I remembered a jokey suggestion a friend of mine made a while back. A healing version of scorpion wire. Lets call it scorpion heal.
Cost 5, Recharge 10. For 8 seconds, the next time you and target ally are more than 100ft apart, they are teleported to your position, knocked down and healed for 40 health.
Or maybe 'Don't leroy' Cost 5, recharge 12. For 5 seconds target ally is crippled and is healed 5 points for every step backwards they take.
I'm sure monks would love to use these skills, and it would help ensure a peaceful non ragey pug experience..
I doubt anet would ever do it, but it sure as heck would be silly fun.

Wait, thats the non elite version of Unyielding Aura...
Thats a brilliant idea.
But i higly doubt it makes the monks more loved in pugs.
As a monk you already have a lot of *power* controling the parties Healthbars.

Lol =D
I really can't see it providing a peaceful pugging experience though, I can just imagine the warrior now...
*Warrior overextends*
*Monk casts Scorpian Heal*
Warrior - "OMFG WTF R U DONIG U PIECE OF $&%* I WAZ ABUT TO KILL HIM!!! NUB!!!"
*Warrior leaves the game*
^_^ on second thoughts, implement this right now! Just for the hilarity of it all xD

There was one like it yesterday, but which is more fun. Giving someone less heals, or making them fly back to you and be KD'd ?

Nobody has spotted this skills fatal downfall.
Wammos would start using it!!!
He runs off and over-extends, then thinks "Why is that monk hiding at the back?" casts scorpion heal on you, pulls you into the thick of combat and knocks you down... for 3 seconds!!! (stonefists)
Thats pretty much worst case scenario, you might as well add dazed to it and go the whole hog ^^.

HB Monks would love this with some of the ursan groups. Would really solve the problem when they are apparently trying to sucide the mission.

God this would be fun. I should add my badass skill too then if this is the case:
Monk
/ragequit
0 CC, 0 recharge, 1/4th CT
This spell fails 100% at Divine favor lower than 4.
Leave party and return to last outpost. You leave monk henchmen with [mending] and [healing breeze].

XDDD
So basically you suggest a leash to keep the dogs from running all over the place?
Fine with me. We elementalists could use some of that so all other puny inferior professions serve us better.

/signed. This looks fun.
The 40 health heal should be scaled based on some attribute.
Also, to prevent this from possibly having a side-effect of transporting two people through use of it + Recall, make it end if you shadowstep or teleport.

put it under divine, and make it 100% fail if DF 4 or less.
/signed. I would make another monk if this skill existed.

Monks don't need this at all if LoD was given back its recharge or make it 7 sec. plus 80%.

Not a bad idea, it's a shame that this skill could be abused so easily, which is probably the main reason why a skill like this would never be added.

50% failure with DF 4 or less and I'll sign. Make it a maintained enchantment though to make it more energy costly or limit its usage to PvE.(too much griefing potential in PvP)
