If you have insignia's is that an 'improper' way, perhaps using a derv, para, sin or rit is improper as well, must remember to leave those inscribable weapons behind, along with anyone using 20/20 sundering (yes I know, different discussion on sundering please).

They have all been added to the game since launch, just like PvE skills and consumables, if you want to do it 'properly' you can't be half assed about it.

Eternal Dominator of the Fissure of Woe
Eternal Dominator of the Underworld
Eternal Dominator of Sorrow's Furnace
Eternal Dominator of Urgoz's Warren
Eternal Dominator of the Deep
Eternal Dominator of the Domain of Anguish

The statues would look the same as their Conqueror with a different coloured badge.

Game does not currently have restriction on consumables and PvE skills (other than using 3 max). Because of this, the game would have no way of knowing which people with the monuments got them using consumables/PvE skills, and which got them your 'proper' way. This means they would have to remove all the monuments to put the new ones in, since they don't have a way of who got them the 'proper' way.

I for 1, would be very upset to lose my monuments, and I have all but DoA and the Deep so far, and only one used PvE skills and consumables to get. I don't see a point to it either. If they restricted the monument parts of the game, they should just restrict the entire game. In other words, remove the skills and consumables rather than change the monuments.

I think you misunderstand Magma, the existing monuments would stay, no one loses the eternal conquerer ones - I'm pretty sure I used pve skills on pretty much all of mine too!

Just like all the other monuments, if you fulfilled the prerequisites foe eternal dominator before their introduction you'd need to do it again.

(I know you're against this suggestion Longasc, but I'm commenting on the idea here)

Seriously, what right do you have to say any one way is "proper" when Anet gave us the skills to use how ever we see fit? Or do you really just have such a low self esteem that you feel the need to be a step above these ursan pugs?
I vote lock on the grounds of this being a thinly veiled "Ursan ruined my game" QQ thread.

Yes thats what everyone wants the holy trenity back so the doa takes 6 hours again.

You can do them in the same time as ursan with good builds but lets be honest how many people know how to set builds up that work INcluding the OP.

I can see it now if they change this the OP will come back on GWG and ask for builds that can get him through the doa.

Its all about the time (ursan groups take mins to set up), other builds take time to set up and they take even longer if someone does not have a skill or elite or does not even know which attribute they are in or the equipment/armor setup.

Ok, flaming aside, this idea won't work. Here's why.

First, I'm a bit fuzzy on your requirements for the title. Let's say I organize an Urgoz group and I go with no PVE skills on my bar and no consumables. However the other 11 members of my team all have PvE skills. Will I get the statue?

If yes, then this really isn't fair and it's no different than what we have now. The mission really wasn't any easier because I'm basically relying on my teammate's overpowered PvE skills.

If no, then it's too easy to grief. Our team decides to do Urgoz "the hard way" and we set off. 3 hours later we celebrate over Urgoz's dead body. We all warp back to our halls and discover to our dismay, no statue. HUH? What the.... HEY WHO SCREWED UP OUR RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Turns out one of the elementalists in the team brought Intensity along. He pleads innocent. "Oh is that a PvE skill? Ooops" You could also have intentional griefers that plug in a PvE skill after pinging a Kosher build. Much like we have griefers now in the UW taking every quest to ruin the Ursan runs.

I don't know anyone who actually cares about how the hell the statue looks in the Hall.

I like the idea that it helps kill the stupid ursan bear, but it's not worth it.

To put it bluntly,

rather get rid of Ursan Blessing, Consumables and all other PvE skills and take the HoM related statues and titles with them to hell. Then we do not need no-Ursan etc. statues. :>

They were not good for the game.

If you want to play the game the hard way, do it, no-one stops you.
But you want to force other people to play the game YOUR way. That's just... annoying.

Indeed. The Holy Trinity examples perfectly showed that some people still try to transfer EverQuest/WoW ideas to GW gameplay that are simply not appropriate. Or just reurgitate stuff they have never done before.

Anyways, the thread is done. Ursan Protectors came out of the ground, they are easily alarmed and swarm threads like vultures carrion.

The number of people who can dwindles everyday.

I'm not much of a PvEer anymore, but when I do PvE I see what my old guild is up to and no matter what they are doing or where they are there are Ursan presant. Even in places its not needed, even in places where something else would be better (ie a nuker on the Riverside Provice mission where you need to kill people in the towers). Many people have no idea how to make a build suited to an area and havent changed their skill bar in months because they just click UB and they are done.

If people wanna Ursan let them bothers me none at all, if you don't wan to Ursan or use Con Sets then don't, if others do let them who cares, join a guild that doesn't use the stuff, they are out there.

I was expecting a title for something worthwhile maybe, like completing all elite areas of the game. I might have supported something like that.

But this is just bad. We don't really need more statues, and the requirement seems dumb. Singling out one group just because of a certain skill or use of consumables shouldn't apply to anything.

All you should hope is that ANet learned from GW that skills like UB and crazy consumables in the consets shouldn't appear so easily in GW2. What's been inflated now is done, and there's not really a fair way of fixing it.
