Un-unique idea? LOL Ranged War Strikes
Warriors using warrior primary RANGED ATTACKS?!
Ideas, some borrowed from other games, post your own!
Axes:
Tomahawk - dur, you throw your axe at around 50-75% arrow distance (axe mastery dependant) and do a set amount of damage. if it crits, let it deep wound 0_0*
Hammers:
Cracked Earth - those of you who've played as Tsunade in the Naruto fighting games know this animation. You slam the ground, a crack in the ground 'instantly' forms between you and your target causing large earth damage. Distance / dmg is mastery based obviously. *causes weakness on critical?
Swords:
Hurl Sword - You chuck your sword like a knife and if it criticals, it causes bleeding.
Now I'm not saying that we should get a ton of ranged skills. Obviously rangers and casters will out range us and our real strength really is melee-only as well as our real weakness. This was just an idea and if the damage is worthy, it could be excellent for dealing with kiters who are near death [which happens quite a bit circumstancially]
Lots of other MMOs utilize very few to a damn single ranged attack and for my PvE purposes, i wouldn't mind being able to grab the aggro of ranged attackers by jamming my Axe in their skulls from a distance...
Any other ways to implement warrior ranged attacks without subduing to something like say "be w/r and put points into bow mastery and use a bow... ick*"

There are ranged attacks:
- All spirit attacks.
- One Ebon Vanguar PvE skill: Deft Strike.
Although I agree that some skills could be turned into ranged attacks:
- Most ranged attack skills not linked to Spear Mastery or Marksmanship, like Called shot or Dual Shot.
- Skills like Dancing Daggers or Disrupting Dagger.
But Warrior skills? Warriors are melee fighters.

Only if throwing your sword/axe causes you to not be able to attack at all for x number of seconds as you get your weapon back.

Warriors Assassins Rangers Paragons and Dervishes are all in effect warriors with different styles.
I think you will get what your looking for in GW2 as I have an idea characters will have more freedom in the skills they can select.
So I would be hoping a throwing skill will be available that would allow variations in ranges weaponry.
Perhaps thrown dagger or axe as well as spear

Why do people think GW will still get more skills and stuff?
Theres no big update coming which will create new skills or anything, get it into your heads.

NO. Just no. This is the sort of thing that drives me up a wall and it doesn't even fit in with GW.

1: Yeah, what fits with GW? You already have earthshaker...meteor shower, etc. Why can't a warrior call upon some supernatural force to go above and beyond just some common hack'n'slash?
2: Have you? I'm sure throwing a fellblade isn't going to result in much to speak of, unless your warrior is rather skilled and knows how to handle his/her weapon. But what about a Short Sword? they're pretty much large knives anyway. And a warrior with full knowledge in their weapon's balance would definitely be able to pull this off, I'm sure.
If you're going for realism, you're in the wrong game. The existence of magic and sorcery in GW kinda throws that out the window. Hell, you can "Decapitate" an enemy and have him/her keep right on trucking.

1. Because Warriors are melee fighters
2. Even a short sword appears to be about 2 1/2 to 3 feet long, and something like a fellblade that looks like it could be up to 6. A knife is usually around maybe a foot, at most. If you were to try throwing something like a Fellblade, you might be able to have an effective and accurate range of about 10 feet, maybe.
3. Although warriors may be super strong and such, they aren't magical (unless they go /Caster or something, but I'm just talking about warriors here). Any human being, hell, anything on earth, couldn't take an object, swing it to the ground, and cause the earth to crack. Except maybe Sandshrew with his Fissure attack. (yay pokemon)

Even though your posts are completely irrelevant to the topic, I have something to say about them.
A. I've never heard of your guild, and I've been playing and GvGing since 3 months after release.
B. I don't see you on the ladder, so I doubt you are important enough to get something nerfed.
C. I've never heard anyone call Debilitating Shot "delb shot". And what makes it so overpowered to have a warrior use it? I also don't believe it ever was nerfed... ever.
D. Boon/Prot is what got CoP nerfed anyway.
E. What does TTGR mean?

A. i can only assume your guild was never even top 100, TTGR was top 25 for almost a year
B. its disbanded b/c of a immature leader
C. you just make yourself look dumb when u dont know what you are talking about. it used to be -10e on hit always. now its -x to -x depending on marks.
D. again, you have no idea what you are talking about. the CoP nerf didnt hurt boon prots, it nerfed chars with 0 divine flavor(sounds like a W/Mo with CoP)
E. The guild name was a inside joke from other forums, and a person of your stature would try to insult me for spelling it wrong(even tho thats the point)
nice to know everyone thinks they know everything.
