A Customize Option
I already know what most of you are thinking, but look at it this way.
Most of the time when I see people who want to change their chars face, hair, color, etc they want Anet to make an NPC in a town that they pay 1k or so to change something, and the problem with that is that Anet doesnt benifet from it that way, so how about makeing something in the in game store for 10dollars or so that would let u " before u log in" ( Login | Delete | create )
How about a customize option? You can choose his\ her height hair, face etc before logging in or it could be with the Historian as the Bonus Mission Pack in kamadon Kaineng or Lions arch.
I think this way would let us players finally be able to change our favorite chars and Anet could make alot of money doing so.

And ive ben playing for about 10 months and ive only played my sin ( he was my only char) until about 2 months ago wen i started makeing new chars

It's not that hard to pull out a brush or a comb, put your hair a different way, slap on some make-up or some new clothes, and totally have a new appearance. It doesn't deserve to be any harder here.
/signed. btw, this has been suggested before, and you could probably find the most-posted thread if you'd use search.

*Shrug* Changing your appearance is something people want, but paying real money for it? Purely a waste imo.
If you REALLY want it, you'll remake the char, if you think it's a waste of the char, you don't want it.

Wins the thread. Its not so much that it doesn't benefit ANet, its that ANet has more priorities then this. /signed for adding a Barber, /signed for making it a money sink, /notsigned for a real money sink.

armor covers most of the felsh anyway in warrior situation coers it all up, height makes no difference, so grow up and play the game. if u want to play dress up go to your local Toys-r-us and buy some Barbie dolls

Why not? Even if people aren't going to use it, it can't hurt to have the option available.

It's a figure of speech. It doesn't mean that every 2 days (literally) someone makes a thread about it. It has been brought up before, either by direct thread or by posting to another topic (for example: what event would you like to see?) and no matter how it's voted on, Anet has said it's a "possibility" for GW2...but NOT now.
Here's the link from Oct '07 and what Gaile said: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...0206673&page=9

It's possible that the programmers could do additional changes, with hugely more complex programming, but that work would most likely be made even more complicated by the fact that few players would be content with a gender swap, they'd want the full deal: all hair choices, all face choices, a height selector, etc.
I do agree with you guys that having such options -- any or all of them -- would be great. But the designers tell me we will not be adding these features to Guild Wars for very logical reasons, such as time, the long path involved in moving towards other projects, etc. We honestly cannot stop some staff members' involvement in the development on Guild Wars 2 to spend months on this feature, and I believe I understand that it would take months. (Consider how long Hard Mode took each time, and Reconnects, for a point of reference.)
We will, of course, consider the possibilities of appearance change options, even as an in-game store option (which some players have suggested), for Guild Wars 2. In the meantime, we have been talking about other fun options that are not completely out of the realm of possibility and which may find their way into Guild Wars. It's too early to talk about them yet, but we'll see.

Hopefully GW2 will have a lot of the ideas that were suggested here (that the majority /signed) and are not in game now. Some ideas are good; others were overwhelmingly /not signed. At least Anet replied, even if a "considering the possibility in GW2", so we can only wait and see...

We aren't maple story.
Paying money for in game features is a slippery slope.
PS: Don't troll people who disagree with your ideas. Its a public forum. People have the right to disagree with you.

This game is about making soldiers to kick butt be it pvp or mursatt or summit dwarves. Its not about making your girlie toon look cute. GW is a war zone not a fashion show.

So the hundreds of armor sets, (thousands of armor combinations) hundreds of weapons, and thousands of character creation possibilities mean nothing, right?
Seriously, think before you post something, it might save you a lot of trouble next time. (or at least try to suppress your raging prepubescent hormones.)
to OP: /notsigned, because this idea has been suggested dozens of other times in dozens of better ways.

Armors and weapons are more along the line of the spoils of war since you advance from starter armor to full armor to elite armors as your toon has more experience, also weapons drop directly from defeated foes. Beauty makeovers don't even fit the game. Try following the storyline and keeping your suggestions within the context of the actual game. Your toon is actually a soldier even though referred to as a hero not a beauty contestant. Is that concept too hard for you to understand?

You need to calm down yourself with the stupid adolescent insults and try to think yourself before you throw out something that makes makes no sense like your moronic armor/weapon comparison Any guy that thinks a warrior upgrading his axe is remotely similar to a warrior going to a beauty salon is the person with a problem thinking.
