Wow, new retarded titles are in, but a good 2 year old idea somehow hasn't made it to the game.

I agree that as a melee character this has been somewhat of a disadvantage when playing with H/H. Yes GW is a community game but with the number of players leaving GW or for casual gamers there isn't the chance to bring along real people. They should allow heroes at least, to carry items. They already carry item spells and give you control over dropping them so why not being able to pick em up right?

Ok so, heroes will be fully *humans*?
So i guess there is no need to pug after that?

Yes, this needs to be implemented badly. We have an option to force heroes to drop item spells, why not have something to force them to pick up or use stuff like the scorpions in THK. Just target the object and hit their 'target lock' button(that's the button that forces them to drop carried stuff), they run to it and activate it, or pick it up, click it again to force them to drop it, or if it's something like a flag, target it's holder and the target lock changed from drop item to place item, they go there and put it in it's place.

/signed, wholeheartedly, but of course that would make heroes much too imba for anet and it would promote us playing alone.... (like that's a bad thing? amirite?)

/ signed sounds like it would come in handy. Especially when you might need 2 explosives. It would save having to run back for the second.

i think the purpose of the game is to play with other people
if you choose to hero/hench, you should have to suffer for not playing the way the designers intended the game to be play.
oh. imagine the hero flag runners in gvg

Oh, I already thought of that that way, and won't do.
But has various problems:
- You can only 'take' the bundle. The hero can never give it. So you MUST run to the hero to give it.
- Heroes are not NPCs, you don't 'talk' to them. But you must have to run towards them. So that way to take the bundle would be a problem. For examle, if you 'talk' to an hero to tun to them to get to touch range or just if you are lagging and want to follow them so you don't aggro something.
- It would actually be more complicated that the button, since Heroes and Players have no 'Talk'. 'Talking' to a Player or Hero just makes the character run to them.
After considering all possibilities, mine is the best one I can think of.
Two buttons, one for players, another for heroes, next to the 'drop' button, that 'gives to target' instead of dropping.
Consistent with the existing system, and would work.
It may be another one, but I need more data to make it out. With the current data I have, the one I said it's the best possible one.

If this game was not supposed to be played with other people, it wouldn't require an internet connection.

We have 3 heroes max mainly for 2 reasons:
- 4 member party outposts
- At least two players required to play with no henchmen and a full party.
So if you and your friend play with an assassin and a warrior, you should be able to give the Orrian Scepter to Tahlkora if you want to.
