[CC] The Defender
The idea is a character that can change its armor (not physical, morphing) to have different effects, like resistences to certain damage types, damage from deflecting (like Gladiators Defence and Wh, healing, while not having to pay for each and every armor set.
However armors will be effect specific, no two (except maybe for an elite skill) can be worn at once.
Armors, skill lengthenings, skill recharge time lowerers, and activation time lowerers would be the skills.
Its strengths would be melee mobs, and non conditioning attacks.
Its weaknesses would be spread out foes, attacks while changing, and conditions put on before changing to an armor which could defend from it and damage of the wrong type for the current skill.
The armor that you would buy for it would be mystical looking cloth (idea for elite armor is ghost robes, make the whole body translucent), with magicians' armor stats. The weapon would be for the secondary profession.
In short:
Skills to defend well against different things.

Somehow I've the feeling, there's nothing better to say about 5 Liner CC's, then just
/fail
and as long the people don't make their threads ASAP better to bombard them with LOLCATS.
At least I've that feeling now, when I look at this here, because this is a real Cat-astrophe XD

I don't know why people bother making these threads? Are they bored? or do they really think Anet will make these for GW2?
Also, I can take you seriously when you have this in your profile:
Location: Land of the cool.
Character: The Cool One
Guild: We are the cool.

An armor equivalent of weapon spells is indeed an idea, although it being a variation of something that already exists a class needs more to be interesting.
You are right though, it is an idea; you said you hadn't finished yet, and instead of waiting for you to find the button, people started bitching about the OP.

Great way to support new CC'ers guys, ignoring their correction posts and posting just for the sake of flaming.
But on it, its an idea... not a CC, yet. You still need to add something for the class to do(probably a protter, going on the base idea) not just a way to do it.
Or just state in the OP you dumped this thread, so people can get over it and move on.

*reads the OP 3 times* where the hell do you figure that form?
Are you reading Life's mind or something?
Sides wheres the epicness(yes, I know thats not a word) if all an armor spell does is put a ring on your finger?
It should change the armor into pretty different forms, making things look cool and magical, like weapon spells make weapons look undead'ish.

System Crush, I never mentioned the word "ring". but thanks for your first comment, that was all true, and Ill take all that advice and use it. and yes, your last line is what I was thinking of. also another point (I will edit this onto original) is that on top of the basic armor, in varying colours will be overlayed transparent skins, like the Eternal Blade skin.
