Should Scailing be done away with?
Just some general thoughts on the scailling update a long time ago. In my opinion it has seemed to hurt the Guild Wars community. I know that the development staff did it for a few reasons. 1) increase team play 2) try to eliminate bots 3) try to eliminate RMT's however doesn't it seem like its failed at all the above. To me it has. I miss being able to farm up enough money to afford items, armor dye ect., and its seemed to only put more importance on the RMT's . As for the bots all you ahve to do is go to any normal bot area and hit the international districts and you're bound to find at least 30. In general i think it was a half hearted attempt that has actually hurt the community.

There's another thread about this and it's been discussed over and over. The game is fine as it is to me.

it doesnt really hurt that much tbh. i still manage to make around 100k in 2-3days, i used to do it in 1 day, but the current rate isnt too bad. I play around 2 hours a day so im not a hardcore player. All you need is 2, 3 friends to play in HM with, and you will be rich. For instance 3 days ago, we did DoA, it was 4 real players and 4 heroes, all non ursan, in 2 hours 13 minutes for a full run. I got a few perf golds so i got well over 100k in that run. All you need is some luck, friends, and HM

imo scaling is actually good for the failing GW economy. helps prices not fall quite so fast. However, even that's inevitable.

If you think about it for a second, you'll realise that while you'll have more money so will everyone else and prices will just go up.

more loot = more apathy
keep people working hard for their items, and it will keep them busy/interested somewhat for longer.
if everything came very easily...you would no longer care and move on to a different game sooner than if it was challenging

peps don't understand loot scaling... it was made to stop peps from getting rich by using builds that killed everything at once I.E the old EoE shockwave bug farmer, which is the only thing it does, otherwise you won't notice it's there. Srsly though I could make like 10 golds and 200k if I farmed that all day.

Why does it matter. You will still make as much relative to other farmers, and prices will just be inflated. Plus it helps the gold farmers even more, since there are more of them.
