Default More Thunderhead Keep please

Anet should add more missions or quests like thunderhead keep or where you have to defend your base from incoming mobs. IMO this is more fun than sending in a W/E to pull mobs and tank while eles nuke, monks heal, and necros bip. Well, nows its ursanway but still... It's a step away from the pull, kill, rinse and repeat kind of thing. I think they should just add repeatable elite areas or quests for this where the reward will match the difficulty. Hopefully they could be designed for all professions, not just warriors, eles, necros, monks, and ursans.

Defending base....THK... Last Day Dawns (Titan Quest in Ascalon)... Eternal Groove... Fort Aspenwood (Kurzick).... Dzagonur Bastion.... G.O.L.E.M. (first part)

Seems each game has one of these "Defend the Base" missions, Prophecies and Factions even has two!

Well ya we got missions like that, but there should be rewards like there are for doing the DoA. Rewards would actually bring in people to do it, instead of running it with lame henchmen and heroes...

How about Glint's challenge? That has rewards, people do it.

Good idea, if it wasnt already implemented.

THK is a ''Defend the base'' mission ?!?

I always tought it was ment to play tic-tac-toe on the radar and chat with allies.

if something should be done with that one is adding more foes when you re in the fort.

I can understand the OP's point about the fun that "defend the base" missions and quests have to offer. They can be fun and really test the organisation and communication of a group when mobs are coming from different directions and at dfferent times.

However as stated there is a number of these missions in GW at the moment, it just seems THK is the best of them.

It used to be a half difficult mission with constant attacks but the legions of noobs complained and it got nerfed. Nowadays you just flag the heroes at the king and go afk for 15 minutes.

OMG I HATE that mission. It is soooooooooo boring, and long, and pointless, and easy...

Please Anet, no more...

Agree. I tried tactical approach, that is flagging one half of the team on one side, the other on the other side. Failed. Then I just flagged everyone at the King. Win ;d

So GW =/= tactics, GW = afk missions xd

And it sucks BIG time now. This mission could be so much fun with more foes and a full party of players. 4 players using ALL balista and the rest of the party camping the king to kill what went trought and protect the the players using the balista.

Nerfed aint the word for that one, its been dumbed down.

THK blows chunks ever since they made it rediculously easy. They should make a family having a picnic in the fort that cant get touched or you all die. It MIGHT be challenging then. As it is now, it blows.

Back when it was fun. It was my favorite mission. I like missions like that. Im all up for alot more of them. even on top the ones we have. hopefully theres a good number of them in GW2

I personally like that mission in factions where your party get together with another party... They should really have invested in that kind of mission ( coop ) becoz everything else in factions is just plain boring.

I never say LDD as such a mission, probably because I also failed at it. PUGs in the dark ages man.

Run "the troubled keeper" in HM for old school THK jollies.
