Kurz/Lux - Higher faction cap per rank.
Drunkard - While showing title your character says random stuff and occassionly falls down while in town. Higher rank causes these to happen more frequently.
Sweet Tooth - move x% faster in town per rank
Skill hunter - -x% cost of skill per rank

Defender of Ascalon:
Rank (1) Can go back to Ascalon by talking to Symon the Scribe, BUT....
ONLY if you are carriying NOTHING but a belt or a charr bag.
NOT OTHER BAGS. NOT a single piece of armor. Not even gold. One other single item and Symon will refuse to 'talk you about what happened two years ago'.
While in PreAscalon, all skills but those given in PreAscalon would be locked and you can't trade, pick or drop items or gold.
Allegiance (Luxon/Kurzick)
Ranks (1..5) You'll get a 2% discount on any Kurzick/Luxon Merchant or crafter, but not Skill trainers or traders.
Rank (6) When you have less faction of a side the merchants of that side won't refuse to talk to you, although they won't offer the discount in this case.
This discount would be applied to the cheaper merchants of conquerable outposts.
Increasing the faction capacity, would allow players to hoard more points per character, and use them massively. This is not like Balthazar, which is used for you only.
Commander
Ranks (1..10) For each rank, your Heroes will deal 1% extra damage and receive 1% less damage in PvE.
Sweeth tooth:
Rank (1) Effect of sweet items will last 20% longer.
Rank (2) Effect of sweet items will last 200% longer.
Drunkard:
Rank (1) While drunk, you'll have -1 to all attributes, but a 2% chance of having +5 to all attributes instead, each time you attack or use a skill.
Rank (2) While drunk, you'll have -1 to all attributes, but a 20% chance of having +5 to all attributes instead, each time you attack or use a skill.
Maxed titles rank
Ranks (1..5) For each rank, you can select and show one more title at the same time inside outposts, as long as this title is also selected.
Skill hunter
Ranks (1..6) -1.6% less damage received from bosses per rank, since this rank require you to kill a lot of bosses, thus gaining some expertise against them.
The reduction of cost of skills is pointless, since when you get to max rank, you'll have spent already a lot of gold in skills, maybe having them all already.
Survivor.
While in PvE, you'll suffer less death penalty per rank.
Rank (1) 14 DP per death instead of 15.
Rank (2) 12 DP per death.
Rank (3) 9 DP per death.
Will you resists the temptation of seeing if this is true until you get to (3)? XD
Cartographer.
For that region:
No rank (0) Can see shrines and collectors on mission map.
Rank (1) Can see singposts on mission map.
Rank (2) Can see material artisants, merchants and armor crafters on mission map.
Rank (3) Quest giving NPCs appear on mission map.
Rank (4) When the title is selected, NPCs in outposts appear on the mission map. Double clicking on an icon will make your character go there.
Rank (5) Boss spawn points appear on mission map, with name.
Rank (6) Can restore and remove completely the world map fog at will (not underground maps).
Protector:
Rank (1) You have a 10% in merchants and crafters (but not traders or trainers) while in that region.
This discount would NOT be applied to the cheaper merchants of conquerable outposts, but will stack for the other NPCs with other luxon/kurzcik discounts.
Gamer
I'll go for a party emote too.

Wait? What? Isn't that the point? What are elite skills, green weapons, and max armor but things the "affect battleplay"? How is earning a title that gives you a bonus any different? I can NOT believe people are so reticent to this idea. Gaining a title is a pain in the asset. It's easier to cap an elite or buy better armor than it is to get most titles.
I'll admit, I do virtually NO pvp so I'm looking at this from a pve standpoint. Oh and before I forget:
/SIGNED, SIGNED, SIGNED
To all the naysayers: I wouldn't worry.
I distinctly get the feeling that NCSoft has bigger fish to fry in regards to game improvements. It's too bad really. Titles are virtually the only way to identify veteran/senior players. I think being a senior or veteran should count for something. It's rather unfair that being a veteran, playing on and on and on really gives you no advantage over players who just hit level 20 other than having access to more areas on the maps.
This makes Hamanaqua sad.

Remove the current benefits from titles instead, a title should be just that, something you can show that doesn't affect anything.

/notsigned for speed boosts in cartographer. That would lead to even more party discrimination, something this game can't afford.
/signed for small benefits to other titles. I like the idea of permanent speed boosts in towns and outposts with the sweet tooth title. I would also go for cheaper skills at the trainer linked with skill hunter.

and max title= just double the things here

Apparently there is great issue with the cartography title suggestion (which I have not read). How about this: With each explorable title earned your "vision" improves. This is to say when you press Ctrl to locate enemies or Alt to locate friendlies, you can do so at a greater distance.

I've posted a suggestion for a pathfinding for GW2 here. All is written there so it's quite complete idea. Something like that or exactly the same idea can be introduced into GW1 as well, so Cartographer will become Pathfinder and he can auto travel better. It affects PvE only and gives no unbalancing.

One update which I would really like to see, is the title interface.
It needs to be upgraded to something similar to the skills list interface (k).
Each category has 6-8 or so titles in it, and if you have one selected, it will automatically be the only one open when you open the title list page.
The 2 "grouping options" = single group of titles (all) and grouped by category
The 2 "sorting options" = sort by name and sort by completion status
For example, current situation is "1 group" and "completion sorting"
Other example, skills tree = "Grouped by attribute" and "Sorted by Name"
Suggested Title Categories :
Exploration Titles = All Cartographer and Vanquishing titles.
Mission Titles = All Guardian and Protector titles.
Allegiance Titles = Kurzik, Luxon, Sunspear, Lightbringer, Deldrimor, ...
Seeker Titles = Wisdom, Treasure Hunter, all Elite Skill aquisition titles.
Elite Titles = Survivor, Maxed Titles, Defender of Ascalon
Combat Titles = Hero, Gladiator, Champion, Commander...
Fun Titles = Gamer, Party Animal, Sweet Tooth, Lucky/Unlucky, Drunkard.
Also like the idea of storing pets in "zoo" and having an animal collection title.
Anyways, there is what I would really like to see for a title page update.

If you were able to do all of that, it shouldn't be a problem for you to do it again xD.
But more seriously, no need to give a reward for most titles...

Also because... you don't reward a player with more power just because they can sit and grind titles all day (anybody can!). Skill > time, skill = power. Let's hope it doesn't reverse and end up as time > skill, grind = power like so many other MMOs!
I'm not saying rewards are out of the question all together, but getting the title IS supposed to be the reward, it's not anyone's fault but your own if you take the easy road to get that title, and feel empty afterwards. Plus, one should not forget about the HoM and the possible rewards it holds for all your titles... I mean, it may not be anything special, but it'll be something.

Some titles have a benefit and others don't at the moment. It's one of those half baked implementations from Anet.
The eotn titles like asuran, norn etc are grind based to pump up skills which is a bad idea imo.
Nevertheless every max title should give you a reward somehow, nothing imbalanced ofcourse. Every time I did get one of those titles I was glad I 'achieved' it but that's all. Often I got a feeling of emptyness a few days after asking myself why I did that. It can't be to have fun, cause some titles are not fun at all. My only answer yet is that there's no other game out there like GW and I'm still hooked after 3 years. And that's exactly the reason why titles were implemented imo. To keep some of us busy.
About the HoM, I don't expect something big coming out of it in GW2, which ofcourse is only fair to other players who just start out in GW2. But once again, filling the hall, will keep you busy for a while.
Anyway signed if comon sense and fairness will be applied.
