Default Ursan Blessing Nerf Suggestion: Regional Limit

Tons of people keep calling for a general nerfing to Ursan Blessing. Personally, I don't think that it's necessary to reduce the skill's abilities at all. Instead, perhaps limiting it (and Raven & Volfen, obviously) so that it can only be used in the Norn regions (ie, only in the 6 Far Shiverpeaks explorables and the associated dungeons, and not in the Tarnished Coast, Charr Homelands or anywhere else in Tyria, Elona or Cantha) would be the way to go.

After all, the Blessings are granted by the Norn's totem spirits, not by Dwayna, Balthazar, etc., who are gods that are worshipped pretty much everywhere in the world, so why should they have power outside their home region? True, there'd be plenty of whining, but it'd still be very powerful for a decently-sized region where a fair part of the game takes place, without ruining the balance for the elite areas and the quests for the campaigns.

EDIT: Disclosure - I use Ursan on my main character (a W/R), currently r7. When I'm not using my [[Warrior's Endurance] build to spam [[Power Attack], anyways, or my new [[Dragon Slash] build (just got Factions the other day). And, except for when I LFG'd for the Ring of Fire mission in Prophecies, I've never advertised as an Ursan nor been required (or even asked to) use it by a PUG. So, despite what many seem to claim later on in the thread, I'm not an Ursan hater. The worst you could say is that, after a short period of addiction, I've been going out of my way to not use it, especially in Factions (since I just got it).

It should be nerfed to the ground.
Not limited.

Mind you, +1 for another Ursan thread.

Hardly makes them elite, eh? They may be overpowered, but seriously, who cares? I don't Ursan, but I don't mind it when people do. And it shouldn't be considered imbalanced because the monsters don't have a sense of fairness .

tbh if this was going to happen it would be a much better idea to limit it to eotn , but having ursan blessing allows you to do so much more , on some professions where you can't do high end otherwise . you have to look at it from that context , and in that way it succeeds , so

I'm not following your logic here. Why can't some professions do high-end areas? Any reasonably competent team of players should be able to organize themselves in such a way that everyone can bring the prof they choose and complete any area imo.

and oh yeah... anything that kills ursan=ftw

Don't care about Ursan, don't care how other people play no matter how stupid and dull I think it is, don't care to see these threads anymore.

be my guest for every profession to do high end areas , but for starters ,pvx contains very few builds for things like paragons , dervishes to do the areas in question , and my guild which specialises in high end missions also does not use these sorts of professions in it's builds , hence why ursan is needed

/signed, any nerf to Ursan is a good nerf

Infact make it so a Zealous Weapon mod has no effect to UB aswell.

I don't Ursan and I don't like being in groups with Ursans because If I wanted to be extreamly bored I'd go watch the grass grow.

Fixed that for ya

Ok then, you could make builds for such proffesions, but I guess is you would rather just hit the easy button.

QFT

The problem is: casual players can not do the elite dungeons in under 2 hours without ursan.

The solution: Nerf ursan to to be as usful as the other 2 forms or boost the other 2 to be equal. This will never happen.

so lets all stop the the ursan threads, the only reason to complain about them at all is
1: your norn rank isn't maxed or you don't have EoTN. both of which can be resolved by you.
2: you pug
