I haven't played WoW long enough to actually get involved in the trading (got bored with the game whenever i hit lvl 20 >.<), so I dont dont know how it is actually done. But I imagine in GW you could maybe ping the weapon from your inventory. Dont know if that is possible though

You shift click a weapon, the name comes up in the chat with a link, you can click on it to see its stats and you can CTRL click it to see what it'd look like on your character.

Items could also be shift-clicked to show the item in whisper, guild, alliance, party and trade channels (With limits in the trade and party channel so people can't spam them).

And to see the itme, you just place the mouse over the 'link' while holding shift.

Over exaggeration really gets a good beat down on the net when it comes to 'cyber-morons', don't get me wrong, I find that Wammo stuff as funny as the next person, but it would really be something awesome to actually see a screen shot of someone talking like that, just extra proof that those people actually exist, and not just in our minds.

As for the idea, it could work, and it couldn't, I can see the benefits but as usual theres the abuse issue.

O at one point ANET added a great feature very early in gmae, its called OPEN TRADE!
I use it every time someone wants to see my weapons, it works fine, so why add more bs to gw??

Why not also ping your title, armor, friend list inventory unlocked skill list, options, name of guild, guild rooster, alliance rooster, district...
Its not like ppl would give half a funk or anything but just so that bored ppl could waste more time in gw.
I think the devs should focus on great improvements like these and stop working on gw2
