Ursan Arena
I didn't see this one in the archives so here I go.
In certain different Norn cities (or maybe make PvE arenas like the old days) there should be a Norn Arena Type thing, 1 city has Ursan, 1 city has Raven, and 1 city has Wolfen. When you enter the arena your skill bar would be replaced with the regular skills of each blessing (not the elite, just the actuall skills, minus Totem of Man).
(Up for discussion)The rank could matter, determaning the power of your skills, and if that is the case, there could be an option to be paired with someone of or close to your rank.
or
Rank doesn't matter and it is just a random pairing.
Your health would be set to 700 and (Up for debate) you would still have the energy degen and if your energy reached 0 you would lose the match. Attributes wouldn't matter (such as Energy Storage, Leadership, ect).
Maybe have a requirement to get into the arena, like you must have the elite skill of the arena you wish to play in, or maybe a norn rank requirment.
(Up for debate)Rewards could be like 50-100 norn points per win.
I hoped you like the idea enough to sign it and/or add on to it!
Also, I thought it could be possible to do something like this with dwarven boxing, but I thought I saw that in the archives, (SO DON'T DISCUSS IT HERE).

Then it's not the norn blessings anymore!
I think a fixed-skill arena would be great, but lets get some more inventive skillsets. I loved costume brawl (even if it did get a bit stale).

added more ursan skills? I don't think people can hit 1,2,3 AND 4,5,6 fast enough. Also unless the person you are against is a lower rank then you or sucks bad you will always lose b/c higher rank = more dmg. With a set number of skills there isn't any point in fighting the other person. Whoever hits first will win most of the time.
/notsigned cuz bots can farm norn points with this + above reasons.

lmfao, well what I meant by adding more skills is to make it challenging enough where you couldnt just press 123456 to win. make it so it actually requires skill!

Problems with this idea:
1. ANET would be promoting Ursan Blessing as a good skill, because they'd be glorifying it.
2. People who like UB enough to /sign this idea have generally not played many other alternative builds... or any area of PvP.
3. Making UB actually require skill would pretty much ruin it's effectiveness because the only reason people think it's leet is because they can get a group within 5 minutes and wtfpwn HM DoA with it.

Unfortunately, I don't think it has enough play value to capture peopls attention for more than it takes for the novelty to wear off.

I think this is a brilliant idea.
OP, you are a genius. /Signed

Ursan is about as degenerate as Sway. Mash your face on the keyboard to win.

I'd like to see Raven Arena. Ursan Arena already occurs when people tell you Rank 8 Norn isn't good enough.

/notsigned, as much as I love set skill arenas (Costume Brawl etc) I think they should be kept as holiday events.

I have an idea.
Add more skills, like you can only use skills from your primary and secondary professions.
They would be linked to norn attributes. Norn Strength, norn swordsmanship, norn fast casting, etc...
You could have the choice between taking norn rush, norn frenzy, norn tiger stance, norn flurry for exemple.
This is just an exemple but i'm sure we can end up with a great gameplay.

Hmmm, i have to admit there is some point to it, but just not with ursan...
I WOULD like to try out some braindead melee pvp'ing without too much complications, using some unique fixed skills for this pvp type, just for a fun kinda "moshpit"... People can come and leave, its open for 25 people at the time... It would be nice just for the fun of it...
