A weekend to change a character name, possible hair style/color. Wouldn't mind, same with skin color, and I suppose height can be changed too.

Problem is, people will want this event again and again due to missing/not liking the outcome.

well ANet is putting into consideration of changing your character's name as well as changing gender and appearance for GW2. Not to mention this, it reminds of this similar feature in the crappy Runescape.

Nice idea, but it would more likely then not take a lot of effort on Anet's side of the fence to pull it off. Considering the amount of work they put into GW as it is, I don't see anything that would require more than basic coding happening.

Why?

Think of how it would have to update friend lists, guild rosters, PvP stuff, and then the reporting and support system.

Yeah, don't see it happening, ever. Also, remember; no NEW content.

/not signed I'm sorry but if you named your character something foolish it's your own fault. Second, your name is how other players remember you. If you were a good player and helpful or if you were a dweeb or idiot. Third this has been on here before again and again and should be rerouted or closed!

I think that this would go hand-in-hand with a gender/appearance change weekend. After all, I wouldn't want to go from male to female and leave the name "guy that is a dude", etc.

Staying away from the Anet software development aspect and going more into a "it would be cool if..." area, it would be cool if there was a weekend where you could go to one of the said crafters, maybe with payment of gold/ecto/whatever, then complete some quest or series of quests that would end up with your character being locked away for a week (like Koss kindof). After the next week there is a rebirth ceremony or something cool like that... Or maybe even you have to complete another quest with other characters to bust them out... LOL

Anyways... it would be cool...

/Signed. I Do Agree That This Should Be A Once In A Lifetime Thing, As More People Will Want To Do Request Again. However, An Appereance Change Is Much Better. A Better Idea Would Be Complete Character Makeover, Make Over You Character Entirely.
