Now Back To Thread.
I Believe That From This If Even The Name Changing Isn't Accepted The Restyle Should Be. Certainly A One Off, As Talach Stated There Would Be People Wanting To Repeat Often.

Why peoples like me? I have given you advice, that will help you in school/life, but you instead flaming me, so I'm the fault now? Right. With no doubts you need to look on yourself much closer, really.

Does anyone have a clue about the amount off work that would mean?
The whoul database would have to be updated, and double checked to make sure.

Surely It Would Be No More Work Then The Current PvP/PvE Skill "Balance" And From An Understanding View A Simple Update Of A Code String Could Easily Be Automated With Little/Easy Work Required.
@nessAL - May I Inquire As To Where Or What This "Advice" Was? And At Least Check My Profile To See That I'm A Bit Old For School. No Matter What Your Present Thoughts May Be, I'm Not A Kid. I'm In Such A Position To Believe That Your The Original "Flamer" Referring To My Individual Style Of Presenting My Posts.

Allright, just dont use capital letters on each sentence, capital letters are only in the first word in start of sentence or when you type a personal name / cities etc. I wasnt flaming your style, but saying alil bit arrogantly that its not how GW will work.

I'm sure there are other GW players out there that have always wanted to change a certain character's name but have gone through the process of getting FoW armor, Tormented weapons, etc. and have just found it to be a hassle if we we're too just re-roll all over again.
|
If you don't want to reroll you don't want it badly enough. Starting over isn't hard at all and how will the people that join after the event feel? This would just force anet to add a permanent way of changing your name into the game which is something I don't want.

I like the idea... except for the part of "having to have reached all those other checkpoint missions in the other campaigns can obtain this quest".
I really dont think it would be fair to someone that has say... Prophesies, Nightfall, and EOTN, but not factions. So they cant change the name because they are unable to reach a perticular town. These people should have the same options as the rest of us.
Yes make it a quest, but make it so the quest must be completed in the campaign that the charicter was created in.
After all, its not like the baby moa quest where the end product can be purchased in any booming matropolis in the game, a name change cant be baught.
/signed but with a slight change.

Not trying to be an asshole to the OP, but, if you dont wanna be known as "the great cornhole" or some other retarded thing dont name your toon that. I have read several of these threads about people wanting to change their name, hairstyle, height, sex what ever. Why did you make you derv short female and blonde and name her "Monkeynuts the Wild" if you thought it was stupid then it is still stupid now. Reroll and start over or quit bitching and live with it.
While I am sure parents think their childrens have great names, children often think otherwise. If you were you toon would you want to be named "Stoned Monk" or something like that?
No, you named the toon that. Live with it.

Everyone has their own style, but you do make it hard to read what you write.
/signed for hairstyle changes only, not full appearance changes. Anyone should be able to change their haircut anytime IMO.
/unsigned for name changes: If people cared about the toon, they would have gotten the name right the first time.

In before thread lock...
This has been discussed to death, and while I do believe it would be nice to have, it's pointless to discuss - the way GW is written and the way the game is programmed, doing this is nearly impossible.

ANet already allows people to change their character names if it's an inappropriate name, I believe.
So the code for changing names is already in the system.
They just need to make it available to everyone on a different trigger.

That gave me an idea. They should add a new NPC to every main city called Cocoa [Salon] and you talk to Cocoa and it opens up a menu after you pay 1k or if it could be free and you change your name, body, and hair.

I am NOT promoting appearance changes: hair, face, height etc. Just character names. For those of you that are signing for appearance changes, please go sign in a thread that promotes that.
-To those posters that reply by saying "stop QQing, quit bitching, you're retarded etc etc." I would just like to remind you guys that I'm only offering solution to a problem many GW players have been having trouble with. I'm not "QQing", complaining or bitching. I still appreciate the feedback though.

/ niot signed you live by your name you die by your name. Don't want scammers just changing their names so they can scam more people. If you wanted a good name you should have taken a minute when you made the character.

Your "personalized style" is a] really freaking stupid, and b] not original.
/notsign thread - I deleted the character who had a name I did not enjoy. Bite the bullet, and don't claim you've invested too much, she had well over 20 customized r7s.
