Make obtaining Endgame Prophecies green weapons easier.
While I certainly think the new update for finishing Prophecies is a great addition to a great game, I now find out that in order to get the reward, you have to first finish the final mission, Hell's Precipice. I understand that this is the case for factions and nightfall, but Hell's Precipice is MUCH longer to complete just to get access to an area that I have already accessed. To put this into perspective, I have completed Prophecies with 7 of my 9 characters. Last I remember, Hell's Precipice takes about 45 minutes (maybe more) to complete, times 7 characters... OUCH!!! Factions is 2 minutes if you do it right, and Nightfall runs around 10 minutes with a decent group. Is there any way to avoid this pain?
I would think that you could have an area that allows access to the final Lich battle after someone has completed the prophecies campaign for the first time (kind of like the "Goddess of Truth" statue viewing area in the Chantry of Secrets). This would make it as easy to access the final area as the other campaigns, and you can't just "walk in" as you please, again staying with the not so easy accessible final area. Doing this would also avoid changing the original campaign design for anyone who hasn't completed it yet, so this would not be a big storyline design change. I think doing Hell's Precipice over again which is the current (and only) option is EXTREMELY undesireable!

Stop complaining. It takes me about 30 min, an average mission time length, thats on a crappy go. If it were up to me, I'd put the weapons after you beat the Titan quests, just to force people to enjoy the loveliness that I find in them, aka the challenge . Besides, Hell's Precipice is fun to H/H, and just not hard.

Come on, did you just have to make this kind of thread with your first post?
Doesn't usually take more than 25 mins with a well-coordinated group. There are plenty of people actually doing the mission thanks to the update. You shouldn't have too much problem finding a group.

So what are u actually saying here??
Hmm I get it now, You want the complete storyline removed so u just can go kill the lich and pick up the "end game green"
Well i guess thats fair?
~That sounds like a joke to me, so does You.
If u want the green play the fricken game for a moment its not hard or anything,
Anet should stop the updates on a regular basis, people are getting TOO cranky.
/notsignet, one of the worst things i've heard.

I'm really starting to think that ANet should just give up on GW1 all together. They do something to please people, twice as many get pissed off, and once that reason to be pissed off is gone, then those same people find other reasons to get pissed off about. If ANet wants to do something that won't piss people off, they should add content (in other words, add more areas to play, not just elite areas, similar to a Sorrow's Furnace update).
Trying to balance skills seems to just bring out hell with the players. And titles don't make things better with the game.

After playing it 7+ times I am pretty sure he got the storyline.... which by the way is one of the worst storylines, and compared to most other games is a joke. Besides he said AFTER you have beaten it. Funny part is how many people like to whine about whining. I do not understand though why A-Net made the first final boss mission long while the rest are quick and easy. You walk right into the boss area in Factions, Nightfall, and EoTN.
In the end - it really does not take that long so just get it done and get it over with - but it is also not something to have to get all worked up over either. ;P

Mike Dude. You've had it way too easy with Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North in my opinion. I like the fact that you need to play through a lengthy mission to get the reward...makes the reward seem more "worth it".
If this thread descends into flaming and trolling it will be locked down. Just a warning to you all.

If you want the reward go do the mission , it's not particularly difficult or long and the fact that the other campaigns end boss is made nice and easy to access is irrelevant.

If you want it, play for it, or don't bother at all.
It shouldn't take much longer than 25min with a h/h team anyways.

amongst all classes, its pretty easy to get 20-25 minute times with H/H.
if it takes you 45 minutes, what about just, you know, farming for ~20 minutes and buy those weapons with cash?

I agree. They should give you the end-game items once you make a new char.
Edit: It's a sarcasm... I know some are missing the sarcasm-detectors.

I think any character that has Guardian + Protector on a continent should be able to access end game areas without having to replay the mission.

Theres nothing requiring you to get every single character a green weapon from there, and I am sure that all of your characters have max weapons already. QQing because you have to make a small amount of effort to get the prettier weapons reeks of laziness. You are already required to grind titles for 100s of hours in the other campaigns, you should be used to it by now! (this is a shot at anet, not you )
btw, it takes so long in UW to get to the mindreapers on my A/E, can't I just teleport straight to Chaos Plains from ToA? Also make the Dream Riders spawn all right next to each other, its just plain boring running back and forth to pull them all to the same place before farming.

The things are easy enough to get already, they're almost worthless. They don't need to be any easier to get, if anything, they should be harder to get, imo.

You can get Proph green with 1 hand in your ass. How much easier does it need to be?

Wait a second just hold on.
You see, this type of instant satisfaction is what killed the game. There IS a reward for doing Hell's if you play the game!
This thing that they added at the end WHO CARES. I can make a weapon with the same mods in EYE OF THE NORTH.
Matter a fack I can craft a 5K weapon or shield or whatever with the req of 9
The Reward that I mentioned is PROTECTOR OF ASCALON! Geesh. No more on it. If you play this right it only take 15 minutes tops!
The problem if I might be so bold is that NO ONE knows how to play the game anymore.
You need 7 REAL people with you. Not H/H but get yourself into a team like this...
3 Monks - 2 War - Ele - Ranger - Mes and it can easily be done.
One of the monks is SMITING 600.
Here is what to do, set traps, pull to Wars who hold agro, Bane and sig to death while ele does MASSIVE damage at war location...earth that is of course for the knockdown. It is easy.
Oh did I forget that war secondary is RANGER for Troll and pet extra damage. These war also know how to control their pets! SO that is a team of 16 not 8.
Easy. Now finding a group like this is near impossible cause everyone just wants to RUN to get DONE. Bad, very bad for the game.
So my advice is, Learn to play in this type of group. Get the skills to keep yourself alive for a bit (directed at war's) and NEVER RUN IN without asking your monks if they have enough energy to heal you.
Side note. I play both war and Monk only.

If anyone feels that an end-game item is worth having, then they should feel that it's worth WORKING FOR.
And when I say "work" I don't just mean "do the mission." It also includes taking the time to optimize your character's build, weapons, armor, etc. to best face the challenges ( I use the term loosely) of the mission at hand to speed up the process of getting through it. That shouldn't be hard, since you already know what you're facing in the mission.
