Dragon Festival 2008 - Extend Duration to 1 week ( or more )
For obvious reasons I would like festival games and quests to be available for more than 3days ...I think no one would loose if the festival games/quests started on Monday or Tuesday - maybe they could add a few new quests as well, if that's not too much to ask.
PS
I don't know if this topic is serious enough to stay in Sardelac.
I did a search and didn't find a similar topic, if there is one please close.

3 days of lag are enough.

No, GW holiday events have for the most part lost their freshness and uniqueness. Extending the event for so long would just serve to make the event less meaningful.
If there is a special item like the mini polar bear, all i can say is GOODLUCK. Cancel your real life plans for the extent of the festival. Meanwhile I'll be at the beach! Haha!

Thank you for suggesting extension to the Dragon Festival.
I for one have always miss out on Festivals because I do not have access to computer or internet connection during these time, why? because it is holiday time and what do people do on holidays? they go away, yes there are people who do not have computer and internet!
so please consider making the duration longer for festivals, if you do that, and I still can't get to a computer in time, I will gladly shut up and go sit --------> over here.

I can understand the reasons behind this. We're not all balding fat loners, that waste our holidays sitting in front of a computer. Sure the lag is a pain in the ass, but what difference is it going to make compared to the lag we're getting at the moment due to the mega title grabbing and farming? Not a great deal. Not to mention it would increase public image...

Only if they have new minigames and quests every day (that would be fun, a mini storyline). Im bored of the current minigames.

/notsigned, as much as i lub the DA i like it because its only there every now and again. extending it would also let people with no jobs/other things to do boost their e-peen with a higher gamer title. so no ty.

I understand peoples problem if they cant get on during the Holidays...I want to sign it, but...
I think that if festivals lasted longer, the festival "goodies" market would decrease since you can farm them longer and get more making the prices of stacks go down(im one of the sellers, lol)...(maybe it would be the other way around) Either way...
Lame way to think about it.
Sorry but

If it's open, then I have to do Nine Rings, and if that's the case I will blow every piece of gold I have AND have to AFK for a week. My poor little account/brain couldn't handle it.

I dunno. It'd help the people that miss out on these festivals, which is a good thing, but in the long run, it would just cheapen the excitement of it. It's hard to say if this is a good or bad thing.

"extending it would also let people with no jobs/other things to do boost their e-peen with a higher gamer title. so no ty."
Caring about someone's e-peen only validates the e-peen.
"If it's open, then I have to do Nine Rings, and if that's the case I will blow every piece of gold I have AND have to AFK for a week. My poor little account/brain couldn't handle it."
That is about the lamest reason I've heard yet. Have you heard of such a thing called a choice. I hear it has something to do with free will and some such nonsense.
/signed for a day extension for some of us that want to have some real fun over the holiday. Making it last a week or more, however, is a bit much and would ruin it for everyone.

/sign, restore the dragon festival to it former glory. In 06 the dragon festival was a 5 day long event, with a different mini mission everyday. Wish they would remove the "actors", the mobs who invaded the festival were minions of Dhumn, not Abandon, just replace The Fury with Servant of Dhumn, or have a random generated rider from the The Four Horsemen that is different for every district.

yeah, i wouldnt mind a day extension but nothing more. and as for the e-peen thing, i dont CARE about them i just dont want to people tonnes of people running round with r6 gamers whereas the people who actually spent 2 years getting them are forgotten.
