Drunkard as it is right now is very time consuming, requiring constant attention in order to click at the correct moment. This is in contrast to the Sweet Tooth and Party Animal titles, which do not require much attention at all, as they can be built upon by just using the necessary items all at once (with the exception of a few specific Sweet Tooth items).

The way I see it, Drunkard right now is just a title requiring tons of time sitting around doing nothing. There are two solutions to put it more in line with the other two titles:

1) Like the other two titles, alcohol will give "points" instead of "time spent drunk".

This removes the need to babysit the title and instead allows one to have more efficient use of their time.

However, I'm afraid there may be complains that this makes the title "too easy" and the likes.

2) Some idea I thought of...behold, The Alcohol Queuer:

Yes yes, bad Paint job, blah blah blah.

But anyways, let me explain.
1) Load up your alcohol in the slots, going from left to right (each slot accepts one stack).
2) Select a frequency from the drop-down box (1 minute or 3 minutes).
3) AFK the title (just like LDoA, Lucky, Unlucky)

Basically, the alcohol queuer thing consumes one alcohol item for you every 1 (or 3) minute(s). It takes the alcohol from the left-most stack and continues with the stack until the stack is depleted, after which it moves on to the next stack on the right.

This will still make the title require massive amounts of time, but at least it wont be necessary to babysit for that amount of time. Drunkard would then be able to be AFK-ed, just like LDoA, Lucky, and Unlucky.

The people who sat there for 16 days aren't going to be happy. Seems a bit complicated though, I don't see anything wrong with drinking a spiked eggnog every 3 mins every now and then. Just keep the inventory and title panels open so that you can see when you need to drink more 5 min alcohol. Once you do all the HM stuff, you'll basically have spent 10000 mins drunk anyway.

Nice suggestion, but I don't think it's the way to go.

1. The current system more closely emulates alcohol consumption than "points."

2. That's essentially an automation tool, or "bot," and ANet doesn't like those. I would prefer a visual display in the effects monitor, like sugar rush gives now, but adapted for the Drunkard title. That idea, a new display or icon of some form, has been suggested in various forms before.

The people who already spent their 10,000 minutes drunk would get very angry if either of these were implemented, which is why they won't be.

The only change I'd like to see is making Drunkard account-based.

as been said, people who already got r2 by actually doing it and not sing any tricks will not be happy, they were not happy when the whole GH zone trick was found, though not too bad and it was a long time ago, when either of theses are implemented they will probably be very mad. On the other hand there are already bots that allow you to do this, although this IS illegal. sorry but /not signed for either.

These titles are supposed to be gold sinks ... if you didn't have to wait 10k mins to get it more people/chars would go for it and therefore it would be more effective in it's original purpose.

No I think this title should be different that just "hey gimme my title I farmed 1 mil+ gold please" I'm going for the title now and do you know what I'm doing? I'm drinking while playing. Yes you can do that, its not that hard, although your character may occasionally sit down during the middle of a battle... I voted no on both. All you need is a little icon like a hex/enchantment/condition thing that tells you your drunk level so you don't need to keep your title window open.

The changes the drunkard system need are effect icons and increase in the max number of levels to 20, so you can drink more bofore having to drink again and play normally using PvE drunk skills without having to care about drinks every minute.

Not queues or instant points.

So you're saying ANet would rather us either:

A) Make and use our own bots

or

B) Take advantage of glitches and exploits to gain minutes faster

Yes, that's *DEFINITELY* better than something controlled by ANet.
