This idea came to me today when i was trying to get a norn skill. What if in a norn, asura, etc. HM area that instead of monsters only dropping tomes of their profession why not drop norn tomes( or whatever kind of area your in tomes) that allow you to learn 1 norn skill. This would also apply to asura, vanguard, dwarf, and sunspear skills. This way you don't have to play to a certain point in a campaign just for one skill. What does everyone think?

there aren't enough title skills to justify them adding it. Even more so because every title skill can be earned through a quest which isn't that difficult, not even the griffin quest (though killing him was a pain).

signed conditionally
its not really very hard to get these skills for one character but I like the idea if you have alot of characters grinding each of the them through secondary quests to get pve skills does get kind of old so I will sign under these conditions.
1) You have to have earned the skill by questing with at least one character on your account at which point it would become unlocked and you could learn it by using a gwen rep tome.
2) The character has to have at least R3 to use in the line of the skill wanted to unlock. Norn R3 to unlock use norn tome, Asuran R3 to use asuran tome, etc.

I hope they go back to giving skills as quest rewards in GW2, since many skills in Prophecies & EotN are the best quest rewards out there.

On those same conditions, /signed.
I had an idea a few days ago that was similar: Luxon/Kurzick tomes, and maybe Sunspear tomes. I would agree to the above conditions for any of these tomes (excluding the questing part, jsut need the desired skill unlocked).

There are not too many skills. These tomes would easily lose it's value for this reason.

Geez. They are quest skills. You get them by making quests.
Do the quests.

1/2 agree but instead of skills the tomes should give reputation points, should be interesting see people selling reputation points in outposts like they sell now sugar and alchool

Now theres a idea.
It is very annoying having to get to rank 5 on all the chars i want leet armor for. I would like.... once delver (for example) Is maxed on one char all other chars are able to use the armor/weaponsmith/consumables that would be totaly <3
Only proplemo is peeps would mass farm with forsight there would be tons of these tomes flying around Raptor farming/vet farming/Any dungeon being ran would pretty much scuff up the blance i found when i maxed my rep titles from eye of the north that Vanguard was the hardest seeing as there is no easy way to farm points and no farms that i know off take place in ebon vanguard area.

Just a little quest, go do it. There aren't that many Norn / Asuran / Dwarven / Ebon Vanguard skills anyways.

how about instead of having tomes for EotN, have maybe some sort of rep point boosters? like 500 points for NM, 750 for HM? drop rates same as tomes, only instead of being class dependent, it'd be area dependent? it wouldn't really affect title grinding a whole lot, but enough to make them fun to have, and actually useful. 500 faction is 500 faction, after all.
