Good idea, as it saves people having to use a texmod to find their items.
I actually got really pissed when i got my mo zing as i dyed it black, put it in inventory and couldnt find it for a couple of days. I only found it again when i went to the merch and was like, wtf its been in my invent all this time, LOL

I have now experimented with the gamma in the game and can get the bow visible it shows as a charcoal grey against a black background which isn't too bad.
The game world colours were a little washed out not bad exactly and perfectly playable.
I did nave problems seeing some drops as Purple looked just like a drop for another player ie Grey though a slight purple tinge was there.
Didn't like it so went back to my original settings, worthwhile experiment though because I learned something.

not to mention various common bow drops that disappear against the background. (IDing and salvaging items you can't really see is a pain.)
The only one that's ever really given me grief is the sunspear sandals. I've lost track of the number of times I've been doing a VQ on my mes and discovered I've run out of room early because there's my monk's sandals lurking there yet again. I now check my inventory very very carefully before setting off. :P

I lost my black bandana in my inventory recently. I had to slowly scan all my stuff to see that it was on my monk. Apparently, I swapped my identification kit with it or something. /sigh

I like the fact that my Aegis of Augh, Platinum Wands and my set of sunglasses nicely fade away in the background. Personal taste I guess.
As I don't want to be selfish, I vote to have the option to make it more visable so everybody is happy. (I didn't vote in the poll.)

Well, it's not to bright the item itself, but to add a way to make them more isibl in the inventory: white borders, brighter icons, shinning, etc...

Yeah sure, whatever you guys want as long as I can still have the option like it's now too.
I'm thinking about a border thingy that you can turn on and off. Games like the 'close combat' series had them back in the days so I guess it's possible.

Easily done by adding the white gradient behind the item, like if it were in a trade window, it adds the gradient so you know the item is in trade. Adding something like that, making that gradient green would be nice.
Never really had the problem myself, as I just look to quick. If I have an item I care about I know where it is. But I have moused by dark items and said "I didn't know I picked that up".
