I agree that it's totally stupid when you're right there in the enemy's face and it says your view is obstructed. They should remove it, but I'm guessing to do that they'd have to remove it altogether. And that wouldn't make sense, like how can arrows and spears (and all other weapons) shoot through walls? "Ow my head! Build a stronger wall!"

Yes, there is a difference. Quite a bit means a substantial chunk. Grand part means a majority of it.

Probably the problem comes from GW not having Z axis.
If a bridge is something you can go under, the game may consider it as an environment placeable like trees, and obstruct.
But there are bridges that do work correctly, even if you can go under them.
So what they must do is check both that work correctly and do not, compare them, and make the ones that do not work work like the ones that do work.

We have a winner. It's the same crap as why you can lay a trap under a bridge and have it rape the enemies on top. Or why you can get in a sword fight where you're under the bridge and he's on top.
GW2 has to have a Z-axis for them to implement the jumping and crap they seem to think is required for a good game. We'll see by then whether they fixed it or ruined it even more.
/signed for a fix but it's not coming.

Wow. You're a dumbass. He's not complaining that building adrenaline with a spear is slow, he's complaining that there's a problem with the game engine.
Can't you read? Are you new here? Are you a non-native English speaker?
I'm not being condescending, I'm honestly wondering if you actually read or understood the OP.

Bah. I hope it's IMPROVED in Guild Wars 2.
Still, I wonder why the two people said "no" to this... o_O;

Go outside Gate of Pain and onto the bridge with a group of Margonites and Monoliths. It happens every single time there.

this problem often occurs when you're on one side of an ARCHED bridge, and your target is on the other side. often if you change your camera view, you'll find that your target really IS obstructed by the curvature of the bridge surface.
however, this same obstruction code seems to affect bridges that are flat, which makes no sense.

I'm fairly certain this is correct. They would probably need to completely redesign the game engine to fix this. As for other bugs with the engine, witness me attacking with an axe at just inside earshot range.

That's happens due to incoherency between data in client and server.
Lag causes it. /stuck fixes it.
That's the problem with asynchronous parts in game mechanics.

It was a terrain glitch, not lag, but /stuck might correct it. That screen was before they added the /stuck command to the live server.
