Petition to make Shiro (and other monsters) as badass as he was meant to be
OK so
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Suicidal_Impulse
I am disappointed this got cut. This is in the Factions Strategy Guide, is an awesome skill idea, and would make Shiro even more awesome if you added it to him in HM.
He could hex one of your guys, then banish him so he gets screwed for sure.
Here's reasons you should add it:
-The icon looks badass.
-It's fun
-It's balanced with his other skills
-It combos well with another skill on his skill bar in Factions
-The icon looks cool (very important)
-I was a sad panda ever since Factions came out because this got cut.
While we're on the subject, here's a bunch of other cool skills that you guys could add to stuff in HM. :|
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Command_of_Torment <--- would make HM areas with those guys even coooooooler.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Construct_Possession <--- I have no clue what would use this, but it sounds cool. DO IT.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Oracle_Link <--- see above. This sounds interesting o.O
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Queen_Armor and http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Queen_Wail <--- anything to make the Junundu areas in HM harder.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Rough_Current and http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Turbulent_Flow <-- this isn't OP at all and at least makes the fight slightly tougher.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Summoning_of_the_Scepter <--- this sounds so cool.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Scepter_of_Ether <--- imba but I like it.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Star_Shards <-- very cool skill imo. Could be pretty strong if you get good monster groups made for it.
You know this would be great. The skill works, it obviously worked for the people doing the Strategy Guide, now bring it back!!

voted no for the simple reason that i believe adding imbalanced moster-only skills is not the way you should go to make PvE "harder".
If they ever decide to add balanced monster groups and better AI, and it's still too easy, then you might consider adding imba skills.

Oh, I agree, but the thing is they are final bosses and I think as such they SHOULD have some type of cool skills cause they are just that strong that only they have these copies of these uber rings (fun fact: you use all your skills from rings, lol. Hence the name Signets.). Suicidal Impulse seems like a kinda FUN skill.

Doing something and never adding i is a shame.
Even just reusing the skill icons for something else would be nice.

Yea. You can't really reuse the skill icon for Suicidal Impulse tho...for obvious reasons.

Impossible Odds+ Battle Scars. Shiro is already hard as it is. And don't forget Meditation of the Reaper.

No. Reason: That skill would mess the mission up so bad. EVERYONE would have to attack Shiro, including monks, which leads to the risk of 1) the monk gets banished and party wipes, 2) monk gets targetted and dies causing a party wipe, or 3) monk doesn't attack shiro and loses half of their health.

Or they could make him a badass by cleaning up his horrid dialogue.
His current status is good enough--a decent challenge if you know what you're doing.

The problem with that skill is if he uses it, right at the same time as he just took say 100 damage from rodgorts invocation, had battle scars up, and the one that teleports him to whoever he attacks him, if a monk wands him (and has any adjacents) then he will steal 100 x 2 for his dual attacks, for each of them. If 2 people are next to each other, thats 400 to each of them. Most people have 600 HP, so unless the team is smart with that skill, they are screwed. In my opinion, they replaced it with meditation of the reaper.
Most of the skills you mentioned looked like they got replaced anyway. The margonite ones resemble abbadons call, and favor, the torment one resembles call to the torment except far more imba. If you miss a call it sucks, but is dealable. Imagine if you missed that skil... it would be like great... im an 8 man party, they were an 8 man party, now they 12... wtf
Not signed for the gay nature of most of those skills, the fact that they were replaced, and the fact that shiro has been out nrly 2.5yrs, its too late to change him.

This game was out for 2.5 years before they changed it, I don't see why they couldn't do one measly monster.

What am I missing? It looks like the skill got cut merely because it was useless. You have a whopping 10 seconds to just swing your wand once and stop all damage. There are situations where that could screw you, but that is rare.

Really? We killed him in under 20 seconds in HM, not much of a challenge, but then again, neither would this skill add anything to the challenge.
Any attacking character would just ping the skill, everyone would see it, everyone would hit him, and the challenge is gone again. Meh.
