Now, if we were allowed to add companions that span across the whole game (Devona, Aidan, Eve, etc.) as Heroes, I'd be down for it. Since heroes are limited to three, it wouldn't mess anything up--just add more aesthetic options. Just replace the henchman name to Tyian <profession>.
|
Or... Remove all henchmen, increase hero size to 5 or 7, and add the henchmen as heroes. (I would love to see simply 3 of every profession, and to have Devona and co. as heroes, but then it would be 4 of Warrior, Necromancer, Monk, Elementalist, and Ranger... remove some side heroes? XD).
I would love more hero options just for the same of having different looking heroes follow you around. If you have any storyline NPC from Prophecies and/or Factions, they would have to be living after the game, unless they show up as a "Ghostly Hero" . Ghost Rurik fighting Charr ftw!

No. It would not even fit with the storyline. They should rather make something like "Legendary unique weapons" Such as "Ruriks fiery dragon sword" Or "Spear of Kormir" and such. But not legendary heros. Rurik is dead. He died in the mountains (And again later lol) and Kormir is a god now and togo is also dead. Where would you fit that into the story?

I don't think they have to be Legendary. They're not worth getting Guardian for because many people can't even do that.

DURRRRRRR (Sorry but this has been explained again and again and still people call it overpowered... they haven't even SEEN it because ArenaNet won't give a no-hero-caps weekend just to test it.)
A full hero team would not be as good as a skilled team of human friends. So how come YOU aren't asking to put a cap on the number of humans in a party? Eh? Answer me that before you call a 7-hero team overpowered.

Yea, that's a major flaw in your plan.
Rurik died.
Togo died and is now represented by a spirit in Tahnnakai Temple.
Kormir is a God with far more important things than helping you to be doing.
If this were to be implemented you'd need to use NPCs who weren't dead. NPCs like Evennia, Kuunavang and Kehani.
Give 'em one overpowered un-removable Monster skill each like:
Evennia: "LOLZ I heal you all!" - Shout - Heal all party members for 900HP. Party members below 25% health gain +30 Health Regeneration.
Kuunavang: Dark Chain Lightning, of course!
Kehani: "LULZ NOW U CAN CHEAT @ PvE!!" - Shout - Interrupt target foe's action, if that action was a spell your party shares 20 platinum.
...hold on. Scrap that. PvE doesn't need to be made any easier.

While the idea of free Platinum is fun, that just won't work. Hehe.
How would we be able to bring their dead, mangled and rotten husks back to serve us? It just doesn't seem feasible. Besides, I much prefer the idea of making Henchmen into Heroes and doing away with the hero cap, if only that I can get into hench-less areas on my own. I want to see some playful banter between Odurra and Gwen as well.

EotN is sort of an extension of prophecies, so the EotN heroes can be thought of as proph heroes from from that point of view.

I really loved the idea of a special or "epic" hero, when Nightfall came out we all thought that Razah would be such a thing.
Now if these 3 Legendary Hero's had some X factor that set them above other heros/hench then this would work for me.
How about each of them comes with a "Monster only skill" appropriate to chapter they are from or the class they are?
I would give Ruric either [Giant Stomp] or [Fingers of Chaos]
For Kormir it would be [Call of Sacrifice] or [Corsair's Net] or even [Earth Vortex]
Togo could make use of [Song of the Mists] or [Dark Chain Lightning]
And we should add one more Legendary Hero into the end of GW:EN. Complete Slavers Exile to aquire....

DO NOT READ IF U WANT TO SEE PROHECHIES STORY FOR SELF!!!
Rurik cannot b hero would not be possible for story
he was killed but the Lich brought him back(fair enuff he has the scepter which is powerfull item)
but after defeating the undead rurik he insists u kill him
so unless u use the scepter again on way out of the erupting island no rurik
and he'd be an undead rurik at that
unless your saying you have more skill at using the staffs power at reanimating somebody then the Lich lord himself?

Also thinking about it(do not read if u dont want to know factions/nightfall storyline)
!!!!
!!!
!!
!
togo is also dead from shiro so he is out of here too
and kormir turned into a god
so unless gods get time of work then.. This is a dumb idea....
And why have only 1 legendary in team at a time kinda pointless unless they are lv21 or 25 or something i'd jsut replace with a hero that doesnt piss me off
bye rurik hi koss
bye kormir hi Morgahn
bye togo hi Xandra

I don't see the point in more heroes unless they remove the hero limit. Also not really a big fan of any of those characters.

YES brilliant, what about one of the gods as a legendary hero.
I wouldnt mind running around with Balthazar ripping bodies in half and striking down foes.
Or Dwayna as something of a supermonk or uberhealer.
Or grenth as maybe some kind of super MM with either 20 minion cap or 10 Flesh golems that turn jagged when they die.
Lyssa sure would look pretty funny though just kinda hovering if they use her Sun form. The task would have to be great for such a powerful reward.
>>Id like to hear some other peoples ideas on what the job should be for God Heros<<< like what would melendru be? like a nature spirit spammer?

But a 3 Para hero team does sound pretty nice, Why do necros have to be the only ones that come in 3s? Hello Imbagon

You should have kept reading my post, I was commending the concept of God heros. Even if it is not viable, its still fun to imagine what it would be like.
My enthusiasm was directed towards the rest of the gods(not abaddon). I wasn't even thinking of the remote possibility of actually having abbadon as a hero.
Its similar to imagine what you would do if you won the lottery, it will probably never happen but its fun to think about.
