Multiple Pets
This probably isn't a new idea but when we gain access to the Rainbow Phoenix in the Hall of Monuments, how about letting us be able to charm both the phoenix and our previous pet? You could just leave one in the Monument. As silly as it is, a lot of people, including myself, become very attached to their pets.

been suggested many many times, would be nice to have a 'stable' sort of thing, where you can have your tamed pets, only 1 will still follow you etc.
but it's not going to happen in gw, might in gw2 - would be nice.

It is silly we can not have a pool to pull from. How about if you charm a pet and level it to level 20 you get a minuture in your inventory Only one at a time can be in inventory and it is customized to a character. If no miniture is in inventory you need to go charm a pet. Sounds sort of Drizt Ooo!

I like the idea but it depends what a pet actually is in the game.
The game has changed and now pets don't leave an exploitable corpse they are more like the asura and Vanguard summon skills.
As I see it much of the time it doesn't exist on this plane its summoned when you have the right skill equipped and when it dies it presumably returns to
wherever.
That said I would like the ability to summon any pet I have had previously and would like Heroes to be able to name their pets.
So signed

I changed my pet so many times and when I did to get the Rainbow Phoenix I was disappointed - it sucks. So it gone again and got another.
Would love a stable of sorts tho.... you choose when equip [charm animal] what pet you want

When you add Heroes to the party, they appear in the party pannel even when they do not appear in the outpost at all.
The same could be done with Pets.
Put the charm animal skill, and the 'select pet' combo box appears, like the 'select hero' combo box.
Remove the skill, at it banishes.

aye, like the idea
Maybe if they changed it a small bit to make it that they add like new skills for each animal so you could have "Charmed Melandrus Stalker" kinda thing, easier then goign to HoM to change

/signed for stable. Also, to make it worth more than just looks, how about we make different pets appreciably different? That's more a GW2 idea really...actually, it's doubtful we'll even get a stable in GW1, but hey, good to remind them for the 200th time.

I'd like some kind of stable, too. Pinky the Flamingo followed me faithfully all the way to my legendary survivor status, but I'll have to give her up if I want a black moa bird or decide to charm something that looks more intimidating than a giant kitschy lawn ornament. It would be nice to have the option to keep both and just choose which one to take with me. I understand if it can't be implemented for this game, but it would be nice for GW2.
I think the pets do have different kinds of attacks. My flamingo does piercing damage, but my Melandru's stalker does slashing damage iirc.

I currently have a Dune Lizard that I've had for almost 3 years and I know that once I get People Know Me, I'm not gonna get the Rainbow Phoenix just because I could never desert Mr Britches.

You can't just store a wild animal...
They have to hunt.

Cap the phoenix, put in HoM, turn in to tamer, and then death-level up a pet of the type you had before, then name it whatever the old pet was. Simple.

OK, the stable can be called a zoo instead.
