it's going to create some problems. Guru only does it with the english language.
GW is played by many people who don't speak english. If you try to name your character using non-english vulgar words, it will work (except some).

It's an online game, if that's all you seem my advise is that you find better people to hang around with. Join a mature guild/alliance and turn public chat off.
Problem solved.

Especially for those 99^RQ7+33HP-40E weapon stats.
Also signed for SMS chat language.
Awesome. This would make it seem I would play with grown up people instead of school kids.

Verily good sir! Are you really going to run me to droks for free?

Simple concept. This forum uses it for it's swear filter. We know it as GORED.
I for one would like the *optional* choice to run text through a filter of common horrible intentional mangling of the language.
Just a random thought that came to me from a forum that does this.

As I said in a previous post, Dark Age of Camelot had a personal filter you could use to edit other's text as you see it. For instance, you would type /rpfilter 'word to filter' 'word you want to see'. Needless to say, it saved me a lot of headaches. As for everyone who says it would be hard to implement, no it would not. If Mythic could successfully make a system like this five years ago, then Anet could easily pull it off. Hell, I'm surprised WoW hasn't ripped that (another) system off yet, but I guess they cater to a different crowd.

'Ignots' has been around since the days of Ultima Online. Some things never change, I suppose.

Personally, I would not want to use such a feature. If it's automatically translating lousy spelling/gramar etc. into proper sentences and stuff, then you would never know that the person you're dealing with can't even be bothered to type correctly. I'd much rather their text come through exactly as they typed it; it helps me get an idea what kind of player they are and whether or not I should bother giving them any of my time.
