'Embrace of Fate'
This is an idea for a non-elite prot skill that's kind of been kicking around in my head for a few days. It started out (weirdly enough) as a way to counteract the 'auto death' aftereffect of vengeance, but I think it has better uses than that. It would look something like this:
"For 10 seconds, the next time target ally would die, they survive with 5...8...10% Health instead. That ally loses all Hexes and Conditions."
Cost might look something like this:
Energy: 10
Casting Time: 1
Recharge: 15
Though, it could be easily adjustable if it is imba or weak.
Cheers

isn't [Divine Intervention] similar to that? just without the condition/hex removal...also at 15 second recharge i think that might be imba

[Divine Intervention] and [Judges Intervention] do nearly the same thing, just without the loss of conditions. [Divine Intervention] also heals you more than 10% hp.
Edit: Shursh beat me to it >.>

Right. It was meant to be an alternative to DI with condition/hex removal, with the added effect of preventing auto-death (DPS, Vengeance, etc.) which I'm not certain DI does (anyone know?)

mate your fighting a losing battle. Have a look at my post about the elite version (dwayna's intervention) all people will do is slate your idea and say its a waste of a skill.

yours was.
this one's a divine intervention with half the recharge, hex and condi removal, and the ability to prevent any type of death. needs some rethinking.
also, adding new skills to the game is just a bad idea. it's better to change an existing one. the more skills that get added to the game the harder it'll be for anet to balance things.

"Next time target ally would die" may be a bit imba, but if it's changed to "receives fatal damage", it might be underpowered.
I'm not quite sure if I'm on board yet, I'll watch this thread.

Can be done as a overpowered PvE version of the skill - like UA
but it would be a nice skill to prevent auto death
