Restart Button - a little tweak maybe?
instead of going back to town every time a /resign is issue in a failed mission how about a choice to restart the mission without going back to the outpost?
what do you think? potentially good or have bad side effect?
thanks.

Only potentially bad side effect I can see is if a PUG fails a mission and the leader quickly clicks restart to force the other party members into the mission again. But anyways, lol @ PUGs.

Most of the time when you fail - there is a reason for it.
So, no need to for this.

Okay, then whenever you fail, you must log out. And it's your fault. Or at least go back to character selection screen, and can retry in 15 minutes.

And the fact that they can just map out at any time makes this only bad point moot in any case. Which leaves no bad side effects as far as I can see.
/signed as well.

So I am guessing after the button is added it should also be disabled for FoW and UW? Or does the party leader pay again? Or if you have a scroll in your inventory you pay with that?

I'm going to /sign for the convenience of it, but I'm actually with upier on this - if you fail a mission, it's probably your team setup or your builds, which should probably be altered in some way. So I don't think it's really needed.

Well duh. It's not meant to help people farm UW/FoW by intentionally "failing" a mission to get a restart. It's to shorten time spent on getting back to the zone.

While I'll agree there is no real need for this, there are time when you have a team able of finishing a mission but make a mistake of some kind (underestimate a particular group, accidental overagro, bad random spawn).
Or just as someone said to speed up farming runs. By the way, those who would use this when the build is the problem probably are probably just rezoning right away.

YOu have a point there. They would need to either disable it or make the leader pay the 1k. He can alway collect the rest of the party after.
And giving the option of using a scroll to restart is also a possibility.
/SIGNED, not a bad idea.

If you failed why would you want to go in with the same team arrangement as before? And why can't you just click outpost + enter mission? This is truly pointless, and would only save time for the people who fail a lot, which i see apparently is a LOT of guru members.

On the surface, a potential time-saver. But, just reseting to start over could leave a team doomed to failure once again because there's a need to tweak their team's composition/builds. Not tweaking the team would make it an even bigger waste of time.

I don't really see how hard it is to enter again normally. You can clear out your invo, replace droppers, etc. I don't think there is enough benefit to a whole new button for this.
However: Make an "enter mission" button for ALL campaigns, rather than trying to hunt down some guy with a green symbol over his head. That's your time saver right there!

It would be good idea unless some player have to change skills to go back to town but if not this would better.

How about just the people that farm any area?
I am sure it would help bots very nicely.
Seriously - it's a suggestion and while it wouldn't hurt the game (I mean even if does help the bots I couldn't care less) - I don't see the insane benefit in it since at best it would save us some 10ish secs IF your team doesn't suck which is an opinion everyone on your team has to share otherwise you'll just have people leaving once you reload which will just make you lose even MORE time.
And for such a benefit that happens so rarely - I don't feel like it's worth it. If they implement it though - great - I'll gladly use those 2 times when I won't feel like zoning. If they don't - I won't miss out on anything.

And if the reason is not skills or items, there's no reason to go to an outpost to change them.
This is a basic option in must gaming mechanics, so ir should be added as soon as possible.

It sounds like a good idea in theory but when it comes to practice it would be mostly useless in 95% of cases due to the fact that you need change skills, sell items, get rid of DP, etc. before you try again. In fact, this would be useful in only two cases: 1) if you're farming or 2) if you're an idiot and die all the time due to your incompetence. And I don't think those two require special UI features to compensate.
