Agreed for more dialogue between heroes with related background, and hell, just more conversation between them in general. BTW you mentioned Gwen+Pyre twice.
Disagreed for boons, do you seriously need them?

I dont really need the boons, since i can use consumables -etc to get to the extra mile if needed.
But if the game developers want to add more boons in the game - having hero combinations - would be my idea.

Heh, cute idea. The bonuses aren't necessary (or desired, really), but the extra dialogue would be much appreciated.

/signed for the extra dialogue for hero combinations
/notsigned for the bonuses UNLESS we remove all the craftable consumables. But you need to be more creative then "more damage" for the combos...

Agreed, but if you want a more humorous experience, then you want to use pick up groups, not guildies. I know a lot of people never even notice the dialog the hench and heroes have. I'm not sure what kind of programming it would take to change that dialog based on which heroes are on the team. However, just the writing of that dialog would take time and energy (money) away from things like bug fixes, skill balances, and...... GW2.
Also, if there was a bonus of some kind, which I don't think there should be, it would need to be distributed better. If I was doing a quest/mission that needed me to use a Ranger (Pyre), but not a Mesmer (Gwen), then would I have to make my team weaker for the bonus or not get the bonus? So each hero should get a bonus of some sort with ANY other hero pairing. And since there are 3 hero slots available, that would always leave one hero unpaired.
Nice idea, but not nice enough to be used.

hehe, not bad
That was one thing I liked about Mass Effect that having different party members would instigate certain conversations or arguments.
As far as the mechanics of the buffing, it would be hard to implement. Plus it would force people to abandon their precious triple necro teams. Not sure if some people even know how to play GW without sabway or discord.

No need to make PvE easier with randome buffs, there are already plenty of PvE random buffs iin the game.
If you need a reason to use underused Hero's than find a reason, don't ask ANet to come up with a reason for you. Figure what skills and abilities that underused Hero has and how well they synergize with you, the party and your opponents and make a build that works.
Of course there in lies the problem, after months of just "clicking" Ursan Blessing people forgot how to make builds and even after the nerf continue to use UB because they don't know anything else.

Yeah, nice idea.
I like games like that. KOTOR comes to mind with the conversations different party members would have at times. Fun stuff.
Buffs would be interesting, but maybe just for HM or something.

QFT
Tried to help a guild member through Kodonur's hm recently. He's a ranger and insisted on running his ursan build and bringing his healing breeze/orison of healing monk despite suggestions. The setup speaks for itself.
After the third try where he felt it was necessary to aggro every last kournan on the map "because it's hm" and the drops are so "OMG TOMES" wonderful, I nicely told him I had other things to do.
