come on guys give it a chance and tell me your thoughts, i think its an awesmoe idea, guild wars is one of the few mmos with an actual story

I'll stick to books, games, and maybe comics. Movie... wait a long while at least. I want a Diablo movie before a Guildwars movie.

Although having a movie of some lore-story of GW wouldn't be bad. maybe one of Abaddon fighting the True Gods and being imprisoned, or of Odran and his portals... the gods sounds better. But not of something that is based during the time of GW1 or GW2, or of the books.

Just because it has a story line doesn't mean it will be amazing. Lots of great games with story lines have been turned into movies, and most have failed.

I dont know i think it would be cool jsut liek super mario bros yes that movie is good doom was good also i think it would be very cool if there was an elder scrolls movie would be cool also but yeah i think it would be kinda cool xD

I really hope they never attempt a Guild Wars movie. I love GW just as much as anybody, but there has never been a decent movie based on a video game, ever.(..and if you dare mention Tomb Raider to try and disprove me I will poke you in the eye with a very sharp stick

...) Video games just don't translate well into movies, especially MMOs. There's just far too "big" of a world here to cram into a few hours of film.

That being said, if they do end up releasing such a travesty upon the world, here are some ideas on who to cast.

Jora - Morgan Webb (from G4, am I the only one who thinks she looks like Jora?)
Gwen - Wynona Ryder
General Morghan - Morgan Freeman...obviously
Varesh Ossa - Rosario Dawson
Shiro Tagachi - Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa

I had more..but my head is screaming at me right now so I'll post 'em after a few Tylenol, when I can think again.

Generally, bad ideas tend to attract negative feedback a lot more than positive feedback. Don't take it personal, but it's been proven that video game based movies aren't the best ideas, many times.

lol it wouldnt have to be the entire game and all its expansions, like maybe just the main game and perhaps one expansion like factions with the whole asian themed areas or something.

also i didnt thhink the first tomb raider was bad i thought it was pretty good,

its not a bad idea at all, reality is tho video game movies blow....except for double dragon (its all worth the alyssa milano can shot).

Video game movies are always 100% terrible. No exceptions.

Now, a cinematic released in theatres as a trailer . . . that could be good.
