Tonics
Alright so I have this half thought out idea about tonics. Personally I think most of the tonics that are offered on the month to month basis are not that great. I think that there should maybe be a npc in LA, Kamadan, GTOB, and KC where we would be able to cast a vote once per month per account to decide what the next month's tonic would be and we wouldn't find out till they start dropping that month. Personally I would like to see a Kanaxai tonic or the stick figures from April Fools Day.

It's an ok idea i suppose, altho really im not a fan of tonics, but in theory wouldn't there have to be, like, 1000+ plus options to vote for? (considering all the different monsters/whatevers in GW).
I guess because it would probably not ever happen and if it did it would be like logistically impossible, /notsigned

interesting idea.
would have to be on their site and not an NPC ingame.
And what about tonics you can use outside in pve areas? Derv+Phantasmal tonic = GG
Or a tonic that makes you move faster

Could work, but then again, giving people a chance to get their minority tonic and then having the majority tonic win = a bazillion QQ threads. As if there aren't a billion QQ threads for tonics anyway...

Who cares. Guru will always be full of people who whine and bitch and over-use acronyms regardless. That's the mod's problems, not ours. What a silly thing to use to slander ideas.
Voting for tonics would be a good idea, i think. Mainly because in just out of (5?) monthly tonics, 2 have been greatly disliked by most of the players (macabre and the norn tonic) from what i can tell. I wouldn't care much since i just sell my z-keys and don't buy tonics, but i will say it's a good ide

No thanx for this Idea, id just rather they pick more cool creatures. Outta the 6 tonics i think so far, may be 5 cant remember, 3 are cool.
Phantasmal, Trapdoor, and Autonoma are cool, boreal & macarbre are crap and retarded. I think thats all, so that makes 5 of em.

Yet the macabre one is the first that actually surprised and gave me a good laugh the first time I saw it. I'd rather give creative control to the devs than the mass of players; remember, the rich players whining about those tonics are also the same players who think FoW + ninja mask + chaos gloves + black dye = win!!!!!!! Asking the players for what would look cool is laughable when you spend some time in dist1 Kamadan.

the fow part is kinda a punch in the balls for me cause it looks good on mes, ranger and ele, but i bought em cause they look good, not because i correlate expensive with gud like the rest of the population. The chaos gloves and douche bag masks are running rather rampant though, i can agree with this statement. just because it's expensive doesn't mean it looks nice, i'm looking at you chaos gloves, dread mask, ninja mask, blindfold, v-spear, crystalline sword and eternal blade/obby edge.
although i dig some of the suggestions made in the NUMEROUS tonic threads, what with mallyx and mad kind thorn, very cool ideas, but honestly, even though i think they'd kick toosh, i hope anet goes through those threads and puts all of those on a "don't do this tonic thread", cause a surprise is so much more beautiful. on with the random obscure character models, next month: headless body to go with head...gogogogogogogogogogogogogogogo

Agreed.
I don't want every single month to be a Djinn, or some other glowing super monster OF DOOM! That's why I liked the Head tonic so much. It was so usual and different (and I enjoyed laughing at all the people qqing over "OMG, why didn't a.net use my suggestion for <insert random glowy monster>."
It's kinda ridiculous that the GW population thinks light effects = cool. Every single "rare" weapon in this game has some sort of ridiculous animation (the exception being really BIG weapons, like the collosal scimitar or the tribal axe (pre NF)).
