Everyone knows that Paragons and Rangers store all their spears and arrows in the same dark nether regions from which flying monkeys emerge. I've heard that flying monkeys come from a hole, but I can't be sure. I think I saw it in a movie.
On topic, the idea of a quiver as either an offhand or for appearance has already been suggested. Search found at least three, and there is a link to a quiver thread in the sticky.

Yup, that's the one.
Wayne's World works, too. First quote.

This idea already has been coined several times, while it is logically a good idea the implementation gives problems. Rendering of armor may become problematic with a quiver. It is said to require quite some work to get it working. Therefore:

Although the string upgrade could be removed an a quiver item could start dropping, there is no need to make a separate item.
You can just replace the upgrade with a 'quiver upgrade', and then make the quiver appear where the models take the arrows out, with different colors depending on the upgrade.
What can't be donne is adding something like a focus item for rangers.
All 70 armor (leather) professions have the same type of weapon: Uses two hands, has a single base property: damage <type> req <0..13>, and then 3 upgrade slots.
Nothing else.
There is no need to change that.

If the quiver only changed the type of damage the arrows did, or something like 10% longer daze and the look of the arrows it would be ok with me. But have to say that there will be alot of problems, so i think it would be better to have it in gw2 if the developers have not got too far into character/armor/weapon design yet. and they could balance it out before anyone starts playing.
