Folks,

I have around 5million BF on my account yet since the Z-Key title came in I have achieved R3. I was wondering when Zaishen titles on accounts will be linked to actual BF earnt since the account was created rather than from the date of the Z-title creation.

I'm not discussing the merits or otherwise of the title track per se, just that it does seem pointless not linking it to the BF that existed on an account from before the track was created.

What's the point of having a stat on my account +/- 5 Million BF in that case?

Just a query....

its completely pointless Z rank is only there for rich pve'ers/PvX to spend there money on.
keeping track of ur BF is for ur own benifit.

"Zaishen title track
These titles are granted to an account that has opened the Zaishen Chest multiple times. Each opening of the chest grants 5 points towards the title."

It's not about how much BF u have now or will gain.

The point is that Anet gave the community a choice between:
Open the Z chest for drops + title, or sell Z key for 5k.

It's a marketing trick to keep the players going because Anet is running out of idea's for GW1, and putting all their effort in GW2. Thats exactly what the titles are, marketing tricks so people would play the game more. And it works

So the Z-key thing is pointless except for loot/gold or title with emote, shame.

And earning BF or knowing how much you earnt is also pointless, that's a shame too.

Maybe someone can think of something cool to link to account wide BF - like some kind of reward per million earned or something. cool weaps or armour would be smexy or the more BF you have means you can open/access skills that can be used in pvp! Come on that can't be too hard to arrange - or can it?

The more BF you have does mean access to more skills. You can use it to unlock everthing...

Zaishen title is NOT a gold sink at all! It doesn't remove ANY gold from the economy, it's opposite - opening the chest ADDS gold, approx 90g per key.

And the title is a complete meaningless joke the way it's designed.
I've spent more than 4,000 RPS total and have only Zaishen rank 1, because I opened the chest alot before the title and just sold overpriced keys after.

As I said before, the Zaishen title done right would count all spent Balth Faction and RPS on Zaishen Keys. But unfortunately the game doesn't keep track of Total Spent Reward Points, so there's no way to make any good quality title out of that. It's already lost.

There's only 1 think I see they could do, and it would be beyond awesome:
A new separate title - based on your total earned Balthazar Faction, with no max rank.

The game tracks this number since ever, time to give it a real use!

This title would practically say "this person PvPs a lot" and would be far more meaningful than a buyable Zaishen title. There are no disadvantages to having such a title ingame and no easy way to 'farm' it, good dedicated PvP players (especially GvG) will always have waaay more than someone who tries to farm Zaishen Elite or something.

Yeah I have to agree that a title or some kind of reward directly related to total BF earnt on the account since it was started would be welcome and justified.

A Balt Faction title would exclude PvEers and the Boo Birds would show up in force demanding an Experience title for their PvE charcters.

Not to mention the fact that there are already several folks running around with cheap/gimmick exploits to earn Champ points so I would have to say as soon as this is implemented several exploits would be discovered and abused to run up ones Balt faction.

It would be a nice addition, but would be demed worthless in a very short amount of time, much like all titles.

The Zaishen title is just plain dumb. I've sold every ZKey I've gotten since it was implemented. But hey, I'm all full up on gold now thanks to it.

The Zaishen title was added for a use for all the Balthazar Faction. People who have all skills, weapon mods, runes, insignias, etc. unlocked had no use for the faction they would earn. Not that many people make use of the tokens, so there was no point in spending it on those. This gives people with everything unlocked a place to spend their faction. The title is only a side benefit. The Z-keys provide a chance for nice items or a source of easy cash by selling them. It also gave PvP players a chance to work on titles such as Sweet Tooth, Drunkard, and Party Animal without doing PvE or buying the items from others.

The title is not about Balthazar Faction, never has been, and never will be. I'd bet half of the z-keys, or more, are purchased with reward points from the Xunlai House predictions anyway.
