Lightbulb Super Norn Fighting Tournament

I'm not sure it's the right place to post ideas about in game contents and this has likely been suggested before ... Anyway here's my idea :

I think an extension of the current Norn Tourney could be nice. There are indeed a lot of interesting foes in game that could be added to it, bosses in particular. Imagine yourself soloing Maw or some lesser version of Glint !

I was also thinking it'd be better to be able to access this Super Norn Fighting Tournament once we've beaten Magni The Bison in the current Norn Tourney.

This 1 vs 1 in PvE is really nice and new foes would make it even better and challenging. Perhaps a title could even be associated to it (if it's really challenging ^_^).

Also add turbo (hard) mode, except it speeds you up as well. And a Super-Combo gauge!

You could just go to these bosses and flag your hero's and henchmen and solo.

Sardelac Sanitarium is the place for game ideas/suggestions.

Adding more solo options into a team game where casters are designed to support sounds exactly like what the game needs now.

And the AI is so smart it instantly counters anything you do with godlike accuracy.

Solo Missions in an MMO game doesn't go too well imo.

As much as challenging this idea may sound I'm gonna go with a /notsigned. Probably it's too late but the game needs more co-operative areas than solo.

-sigh- Take a look at the enemies in the Norn Tournament.

They are all, at one point, allies. Mostly former allies of course. Yes glint is an ally, but she can't fit in the area.

The Tournament was made as a joke, if I'm correct - come on, look at all the round one fights! 100% jokes! - and there are no non-human/dwarf/norn/asura (main) opponents. The farthest from what I just said would be Old Mack+Joe, Zho+Onyx, Danika+Brutus+whatever, Joko+Undead.

This is not "Players vs boss that wouldn't even fit in the tiny tiny arena" Arena.

Will admit that it is fun to solo them, but I do the work of getting to them then flagging.

Well there is of course the notion of size ... that's why I said some "lesser version of Glint" (a foe that would be more facet like imo).

Yes indeed most of the opponents you fight in the current Norn Tourney have been your allies at some point ... such as Vekk (Asura) or Kilroy (Dwarf) for ex. I'd just love to have more tougher opponents to fight and I wouldn't mind them as former allies (Goren, Jora, Ogden ...) or former/existing foes (why not make this extension a 1 vs boss-like character version ?).

As for the flagging away of your heroes/henchmen to solo a boss in a particular area ... well I've done it before and I must say it's often long to get to the boss. Having bosses in the arena would allow you to confront them right away.

According to wiki the "Round X fight!" is a reference to Street Fighter.

I totally agree that we need more co-operative content. But we'll probably have to wait one year or so till GW2 comes out ... so why not have both : more solo stuff and more coop thingies ? (I'm just longing for more in-game contents :P).

A side-thought along the way : I was thinking an observer mode for the Norn Tourney could be nice

Observer mode for TA would be really nice as well . Why not have both ?

Alongside with the standard bosses there's a nice collection of boss-like foes :

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Boss-like_foe

Most of them would fit in the Arena (regarding the size comments ...). Some are so powerful that 'skills adjustment' will probably be needed for the tourney though it'll have to remain very challenging but yet possible (that's the point).

Super Norn Fighting Tournament Alpha Turbo III...
Ouch...

I prefer tag matches like the King of Fighters.

King of Norn Fighters 200X sounds better.

What I call "Super Norn Fighting Tourney" is a concept. I decided to call it this way to put a label on the subject . As for the actual name I haven't come up with a good idea yet .

You didn't get it.

Street Figther: 1vs1
King of Fighters: 3vs3.

In each fight, when one loses, the next one continues.
