2nd and 3rd Expansions- Wishlist
I know Arenanet have said a point blank no to this but I feel it could possibly help save the game.
Eye of the North introduced loads of new content into the game and since it expanded the map of Tyria I feel there is enough room for 2 more expansions before Guild Wars 2. These to campaigns would tie up any lose ends in the Factions and Nightfall campaigns and have no need to reference or influence the events of the world in a way which means ArenaNet have to reqrite GW2 lore.
Expansion 2: Southern Cantha
Storyline: The Luxons and the Kurzicks are believed to have begun to work together once more. However while those areas closest to the Dragon Empire are cooperating those Kuzicks and Luxons who live further south, the "odd balls" of the family are continuing the long drawn out feud. Emperor Kisu has decided that enough is enough and that the war must come to an end. He sends the heroes of Cantha further south in to the very dark deep depths of the Echovald and the most Southern barrens of the Jade Sea. Once there the hero finds himself threatened to make a choice. Aid the chosen faction or die. Seeing no other alternative the hero reluctantly accepts and experiences a series of missions on the way to the final battle with the opposing faction which will decide the ruler of southern Cantha once and for all.
Content
100 new skills
4 new heroes, 2 Kurzick, Mesmer and Necromancer. 2 Luxon, Ranger and Elementalist.
12 new missions - Each mission possess' PvP elements where you must hinder your opponents as you try and complete the mission yourself.
8 new dungeons - Asura Gates have activated and new dungeons have appeared for you to explore.
New Alliance Battle Maps, more Kuzick and Luxon items, new armour sets.
Unique Opposition Style. While you can access both factions you canot field Kurzick and Luxon heroes in the opposing area, Xandra is included in this.
New Elite Area: Unlockable by spending 25,000 faction points on a key this area holds a dangerous cavern where a mighty dragon lays waiting for you to visit him.
Expansion 3- Eastern Elona
The undead armies of Palawa Joko have been reborn and with them a new force bent on conquering the world. However without his presence his army has deteriorated and seeing a need for new troops Joko heads east in search of a new land to conquer before retaking Elona. However a Sunspear spy catches word of his plan and soon the Sunspears are in hot pursuit of Joko's army. Kormir appears and guides the Sunspears once more in her godly form and the expansion ends with a climatic huge battle involving waves upon waves of undead crashing against a giant fortress.
Content
100 new Skills
4 New Heroes: Kournan Monk ,Undead Paragon, Sunspear Warrior and Vabbian Ritualist.
16 New Missions
14 New Dungeons
A whole new continent to explore.

So what do you guys think? I will add more eventually but that is basically it.

If they are going to make a expansion, or even 2, it will take maybe a year longer untill gw2 will come out.
And if they are going to put some effort in a new expansion, then at least take a nice zone. Like a zone in prophecies (pre-searing look-a-like zone or a snow covered one:P)

More content is good, but id rather small updates that occupy one or two people so that gw2 doesnt get significantly delayed.

No. These would interfere with the major concepts of the story and these are after all not important to put in for more expansions. The only new things I would like Anet to bring to GW are new, unique skills. However, that won't happen. So let things be as they be.

There is only one area I want explored, even if it is just a unexplorable map.
That is North of Elona and East of Tyria.
/signed for the concept of more content
/notsigned for these specific ideas (why would Joko go east off Vabbi and not North? Then he wouldn't have to go through Vabbi - not to mention that they go against the Movement in a way. After Kisu, the Kurzick/Luxon are assimilated into the Dragon Empire, if Cantha gets an expansion, it should be based on that. Joko takes over Elona, is Elona gets content, it should be leading up to or based on that.)
/signed for moving this to Sanatarium
/disagree with what ANet has done post-Nightfall with their way of new games. Should have been:
Utopia->Explore East of Tyria/North of Elona (ends with Menzies' death)->EN (changing the ending cinematic so that it isn't obvious with the Ancient Dragons)->Explore the Rift (ends with Dhuum's death)->GW2
Or something like that - at least enough to explore the gap between Tyria and Elona and kill off Menzies/Dhuum. Doing this way, even with getting the GW2 idea during Utopia, they could have made the "Live Team" be working on GW2 so that once the Rift game was done, they can all/mostly go to the GW2 side, leaving whom we have for GW1 working on GW1, and they'd basically have a head start and it wouldn't be 2+ years between real content additions.

/not signed for your ideas, they take up toomuch time.
I would like to see see a bit more added to the game, but in small bits, like a new elite mission every month or two,not toomuch special just a short dungeon-like area with somthing decent at the end.

I thought that the GW2 story was taking place in tyria/eotn so why would you have 2 mroe expansions in areas that wouldnt even take place in GW2... that just doesnt make sense to me

Guild Wars 2 will take place in Tyria in 250 years. Our characters will be long dead - hence the new joke by Mad King Thorn, in 200 years we'll all be dead, was making fun of all those wanting new information on GW2 - a teaser if you will.

Let me show you this quote from the GW2 released lore, I think its very likely we are going to be allowed to go to Cantha and Elona, eventually.
In Cantha, the successor of Emperor Kisu defeats the warring Kurzick and Luxon factions and reunites Cantha under one banner. Under his strong leadership, Cantha forces all non-human races off their lands and fortifies its borders, becoming much more isolationist than before. The few Canthans who oppose the new empire are exiled to Kryta. When Arah resurfaces, the Corsair ships that used to take refuge in that archipelago are corrupted by the dragon to form a deadly fleet of black ships that seal off all trade routes between Cantha and the other continents. At the start of the Guild Wars 2 story, there has been no contact with mainland Canthans for a generation.
In Elona, the undead general Palawa Joko, who had briefly formed an alliance with the Order of the Sunspear to defeat the fallen god Abaddon in Nightfall, successfully reconstitutes his undead army and begins a long siege on the Elonian provinces of Vabbi, Kourna and Istan. Vabbi is all but destroyed, its former splendor ruined by a ravaging famine when the river Elon is diverted by Joko. The Sunspears are eventually broken by Joko's armies, and many of their former leaders are converted to his service, some alive, some undead. The land bridge between Elona and the Crystal Desert is blocked by Joko's minions and the Desert Dragon, and the only news that slips through is carried by the mysterious and secretive Order of Whispers, who are now spread over all of Tyria.
While it sounds like entry is impossible I see no reason why Anet would remove content which I'm sure people would like to see.
My ideas followed loosely with what Anet said there. Our attempt to unite the Luxons and the Kurzicks was the first made by Kisu before his successor took over and succeeded in what we failed to accomplish. Joko does conquer Vabbi eventually but as I said his army is still too weak especially with us farming them for sunspear points constantly. He can't head north since no humans live in the crystal desert so he has to go east. What I suggested did actually have some background orientated around it.

Cantha kind of does. However, you're points for Elona are not completely accurate.
No humans live in the crystal desert, but he doesn't need just humans. He uses Centaurs and Giants already, what's wrong with more Centaurs, Giants, then add on the Human Ghosts, flesh-less Skeletons, Scarabs, and Griffins (ignoring Forgotten because they could be wiped out after Prophecies, hard to tell). Plenty of things in the Crystal Desert. Then there is the unknown area east of the Crystal Desert, still north of Elona. There is Orr, and there is Ascalon - although lore-wise Ascalon is off-limits.
As far as we know, Palawa Joko just reunited his army, raided nearby graves, killed the remaining Giants and used the corpses of those who died from the Pilgrimage. Plenty of bodies for an Undead Army in the Desolation, and it doesn't have to be that big because he would use the bodies of slain enemies, like he did before.

As it is now, expansions will not save Guild Wars. Perhaps this idea would of done well a year ago, but now we're too far down the line and with people expecting GW2 out in 2009/2010 expansions are a big no. The only way to continue the Guild Wars series now is to make GW2 and continue from there.

200 new skills and blah blah? Complete waste of resources... I honestly would prefer little things like being able to change a character's appearance, or graphics for some of the portals being wrong on the compass, etc. before a huge expansion. The only thing another expansion would do for me at this point is give me a bit let down.
The deal with GW2 --- to my understanding, is the things with GW1 that they envisioned they realized they couldn't accomplish in GW1, so they just went ahead and started a whole new game to have a better base. Personally, I really like my characters... But, I hope GW2 is a better game. That's 1-2 years (or more, who knows?) away though, that's a huge amount time in terms of games.

There are too many skills as it is now, and a lot of them are silly and underused.
I would rather the devs add pay-features (character changing, extra armor storage, etc).

First of HELL NO to more skills theirs already over 1,000 skills in the game right now we don't need any more
second the 8 heros you want to add are half are useless. all we need is a para rit sin and Mesmer we don't need any of the other heroes you suggest.
lastly all this work would take the full staff of anet to do. seeing as eotn did. With that said i would how ever like to see 2 more bmp that kind of dives into this sort of stuff.

First of all these extras will take time away from the prosess of gw2. Second the storyline for gw2 would be RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up. 3rd it is fine that it ends at eotn.
But I do support adding a new dungeon or a new area in eotn or new elite missions. Maybe even some new heroes, would be nice to have 3 of each.

I wouldn't mind seeing some changes to NF instead of having to go to Vabbi it would be nice to go straight Desolation. This is from the Sunspear Sunctuary.

The forum bounces posts that have less than 12 characters, so people add things like '12chars' to bump their posts up to a size where the forum will actually let it through - essentially using their filler characters to let people know why they're using filler characters.
