No. Gigantic Fail is you. It's an "I'll do business with you if you lower your prices." thread. Prices lowered = people buy more and think less about the transaction.

I'll buy 2 slots if they halve the price and I am certain many other players will buy at least 1 extra slot within weeks of the offer.

Five bucks is very affordable. Have you ever heard of those dollar-a-pop iPhone apps that make hundreds of thousands of dollars profit per month? Microtransactions are very tempting and very lucrative.

In my opinion, they'll do 2x more business with 4.99 slots than they do with 9.99 slots, and not just because of the math but because of the limited time the special offer will be available. I'd make it a seasonal offer to help encourage people to purchase.

With support from the community, it's very possible that they'll make the offer available to us, but not if we don't start making some noise about it.

That logic would apply if this was a business negotiation. But it's not. It's an internet forum.

The initiative to buy additional slots died the day that they announced GW2.
