A simple title idea
How about Anet got rid of all their current titles and replaced them with a custom title you can change at any time? That'd get rid of a lot of grind. For PvE skills, tie them into your char's primary attribute.

Most title grind is optional anyway. And without the title grind, there would be very, very little for anyone who's played GW for any amount of time to do & even less reason for them (us) to stick around.
The title system that is in place is just fine as it is.

You have 2 options once you have beaten the games. PvP or work on titles. People who don't play PvP but have done all the missions in PvE will have nothing to keep them playing if there weren't titles. None of the titles are required for anything except for PUGs that like to discriminate.

/signed for tying PvE skills to an attribute line. However make it a separate, PvE-attribute line, not primary attribute. That way you actually have to spend points to use them, which will help tone down some overpowered skills.
/notsigned for removing titles... if you don't want them then just get over it.

What about all the people who have already spent countless hours to grind up to GWAMM? This would just toss all their work out the window

lmao, do what? not very specific. not to mention, the grinds are entirely optional so that u can show off ur leet-sauce gaming ability to everyone, A.K.A. slap everyone in the face with ur e-peen. not even the ones that affect PvE skills matter much anymore because they are only slightly more effective at higher ranks due to the title re-work update.

You don't have to grind if you don't want to - you do realise this?

i would partially sign this idea - take ALL the pve only skills, and tie them to their respective classes primary attributes.
other than that, seems a purely "i don't like titles QQ" style thread. meh.

For those who don't understand what the OP is saying, I'll put it in steps of how to get to the end progress.
Step 1: Remove all titles
Step 2: Have PvE-Only skills scaled based on the primary attribute of your character (basically, scaled version of No Profession skills)
Step 3: Add one title where you control what it says, and can be changed at any time
Yeah, no. If ALL PvE-Only skills were profession specific, I'd /halfsign, but no. Just No. PvE-only people need titles to keep interested. And the Custom Title can be abused beyond belief.

Where's the ban option?
Whenever I visit this sub forum I'm utterly disgusted. Needs more moderation, and TBH the guys here at guru I expect better from. GWONLINE members are out doing you, and that's a pretty tall bridge to plunge from.
