Having the in-game store re-route you to PlayNc is a real pain. When you buy from this source, your ability to change your Login is disabled (without warning) and they flatly (and somewhat rudely) refuse to reenable this ability when asked to do so. Even though they have admitted that they can do this very simply. It is high time that it is made possible to purchase online without having ones login abilities tampered with. I have a number of accounts that I control pending the first digits of the email address. Although I don't change them often, when I need to, It is crucial that I can.
I live in a remote area and purchasing retail packages is difficult. I refuse to buy from PlayNc and therefore have 19 expansions I would buy, but can't. Take into account extra slots, skill packs, mission bonus packs etc, NCsoft is missing out on sizable income. I say sizeable because I know of many others that think the same way. I would have thought that during the creation of GW2, Anet and NCsoft would be looking for further income from older products and expansions. Perhaps this is not the case. Come on guys, give us a break and let us spend online without being penalised for doing so.

Yea, I completely agree with you.

I was unaware of the fact that the login email can no longer be changed after linking it to an PlayNC account. Although I do not change my emails very often, I also feel the need to be able to when it is necessary.

I am sure that other sites such as Amazon do not offer extra character slots, skill packs, etc. Now I feel somewhat "penalized" for buying these items through the In-Game Store that aren't available anywhere else.

In the end, I doubt it will be changed. However, I hope that it will be changed because there are more people that feel the same way.

When the online store first launched I used it to buy factions. Not only did they not offer a pre-order or an exclusive item to support buying stuff from their site, but they also forced people who used the online store to sign up for the plaync launcher and to register a @plaync account. well the problem with this is a ton of people I know including myself were rewarded by our factions being created to a NEW account and not our original. to this day I have 2 main accounts because of this. I am certain they lost people due to this error and I have had little faith in it since.

I recently got a new char slot and it did not give me trouble, just be very careful when using the store.
