Your next statement about Ursan is completely false. Never did any dev or CR or any Anet employee publicly state that Ursan wasn't going to be touched. It was said many months ago that they were looking in to debuffing it.

I shall repeat myself. I THINK they said that. I never said "They absolutely did say that" so please don't act like I was saying it as an absolute.

A.net specifically said "no" to all hairstyle suggestion threads. Apparently, it would require a complete overhaul of some of the code, since a character's features are some of the defining points of your character.
How is this different from the millions of other haristylist suggestions? Please look at the index of ideas sticky, use search, and read all forum rules before making a suggestion.

It is different. If it were allowed for a weekend the code changes would not be permanent... I'm sure changing a game's coding pemanently is vastly different to changing it for a weekend. i.e. changing all of the game to halloween fittings permanently would be a hell of a lot more work than jsut changing the outposts for a weekend I'm sure.

I see no problem with this, however there are issues other than the hair that could be changed as well. For instance, how about a character rename? Like maybe once you can rename your character for a fee. And then there is the other appearance, like the face and skin, and even height. But anyway, dealing with the topic at hand, I'm content with my character's hair but I see no problem with the suggestion. But I see it happening as an option in Guild Wars 2 more than the current one, and maybe for a fee and not just a weekend thing.

The OP NEVER said anything about the hairstyle changing back. In fact, in the first page, he even says "yeah maybe the NPC should be perminant." So, no, this isn't different from the millions of other hair stylist threads (actually, the fact that it's used as a weekend event isn't even a new idea).

aNet can't keep denying players the option to change their hair or etc even if it is only for a weekend. It is just too much fun to ignore. Not having this feature just makes me think of aNet as being too lazy to care for its current playerbase.

You made your character and it was EXACTLY how you wanted it at that moment. You'd get tired of your new hair in no time anyway.

Wrong.
First of all, the creation area does not provide a very accurate impression of how most areas' lighting will affect our characters' appearance in relation to hair and skin colour, as well as how the face looks in general.
Secondly, I personally was not able to make my characters look "EXACTLY" like I wanted them too; far from it. I have a very hard time choosing appearances and names and would gladly adjust my Ritualist's hair style.

yeah that must be the reason why they wont let us do this stupid miniscule thing...they hate us!!!!!!1111
or maybe there could be some deeper problem, like the GW engine just not being able to handle it.

Gail explained this before, name changes and haircut's require major changes to the database and will not happen, due to the glitches it could cause.
Use search and READ the old threads, specially the posts by Gail.

That is SO TRUE. I made a brunette monk in character creation, and she randomly ended up a mousy sort of blonde in game. I was so disappointed.

It would be nice. And I think a permanent npc would be better if the idea were to ever be done.
I have a char (or maybe a few) I wouldn't mind changing the hair on.

I really want a hairstylist to be implemented. I like how my char looks, but I would like the option to change hair styles for something fresh and new. IRL, we change/try out new hairstyles, I see no reason for the idea to be shot down.
However, being here since beta, seeing this request come up again and again, and seeing Gaile mention many times that it would not implemented has made me accept that fact that I will not be seeing a hairstylist added. However, ANET has surprised us before, but I won't hold me breath or wait anxiously for this idea to be added.
As far as OP suggested, /not signed.
Hairstyle change really isn't a event. It would be an "event" to many players, but not a weekend event. The hairstylist needs to be a permanent addition. Even with enough advertising ahead of time, people will still cry about how the missed it due to (Insert random real life problem here), or the event ended while they were still trying out a new hair style and hate the one they are now stuck with.
